Motivation Letter Sinan Samanli

The months from May up to September is a good time

for me to concentrate and compose a serious
ensemble piece, where i can sum up what I've picked
up during my two years in Graz:
Concentrating on smaller groups and refining my
melodic and harmonic language was a task I gave to
myself at the beginning of this period, during which
heterophony kept recurring as a central question, and
at the time being I feel a strong urge to compose
pieces for larger groups and therefore with more intense
energies.
