Module Reflection Questions

1. Peer Feedback on Project

During the peer review session in class, the feedback given was detailed and was focused more on

content. There was a little confusion on what I was trying to accomplish. Basically, my critics were based

on clarity and explaining better my understanding of the technologies and how they work. It was detailed

and the suggestions were not hard to understand. Other than clarity, another critique was grammar. There

were some sentences that were run-ons and some punctuation errors. However, once again, it was nothing

too extreme or unbearable.

Despite the few negatives, there were some positives, as well. One of them being my content was good

enough and I included good reasoning and content. Despite the few run-ons, it was easy to read, and my

ideas were prevalent. In the feedback, we were also able to work together and discuss the different points

we each had and how it related to our own personal experiences. This feedback session then allowed me

to not only improve the quality of my paper but to incorporate some new ideas into my paper/opinions as

well.

2. Implementation of feedback:

My plan to revise was to look into what was confusing and then simplified my explanations for them.

After that, I looked over it again to add more information to further my point of view. Lastly, I looked

over a few times, fixing grammar errors. I even had someone look over it once more to ensure everything

was clear and that grammar was good, too. Once multiple revisions were done, I proceeded to read it out

loud once just to reinnervate my information before recording the video part of the assignment.

It was easy for me to talk about these technologies because I have personally had experience using them. I

own a VR kit, so it helped brainstorm ideas to put into the project. I also have technology that

incorporates IoT so that too was helpful in my research. AI was a little difficult but after understanding

how it worked, I realized I also had already experienced using that type of technology. Although I was not
able to visit the labs or stores, such as Best Buy or Apple, I still was able to experience the technology

and had the help of my brother, who is experienced with these technologies, explain them to me.

3. Learning Reflection:

I learned it is easy to take constructive criticism. Also, how it is very important to implement the

suggestions into your paper. I also learned how sharing your ideas with the person reviewing our paper is

a good idea to gain more knowledge and to add different points of view into your paper. If I were to redo

this project, I would plan ahead to actually visit the labs to get more hands on. Also, to have more of an

idea of incorporating these technologies into a classroom. I would definitely discuss my ideas with

someone else and listen to their ideas again. It was really helpful to me and helped me develop my paper

and its ideas.

4. Alternative Use / Future directions

Looking back, using IoT in a classroom could be improved. For example, implementing this technology

makes it easier for all technologies to work together. If a student has a question but is afraid to ask, they

can use a technology to communicate to the teacher. This can make it easier for them to speak up without

fear of shyness. There are still developments of IoT and its usage, though. I am sure throughout the rest of

my college careers that these technologies will further develop and be easily incorporated into classrooms

in useful and beneficial ways.
