When it comes to beautiful music there is no dearth in tamil movies...good music is
something that the producers,actors,directors and audience insists..apart from the
three great legends MSV,Illayaraja and A.R.Rehaman and apart from Harris Jayaraj
and Yuvan Shankar raja,we have had best works from other music directors
too..trying to recollect the forgotten amazing songs

Karthik Raja:
One of the most most underrated music directors of kollywood..all his songs are
really good ,but some how failed to click with the masses..But there are few songs
of his really etched in my memory..

1.Veesum Katrukku from the movie Ullasam

Awesomeness in one song..really good song..a nice feel good song..this movie was a
flop ,hence most of the songs went unnoticed ..

2.Ragasiyamai from Dum Dum Dum

Amazing song...a nice feel good movie..and feel good songs..this is one of the
songs that you can loop it and listen to it many times..

Deva:
He was one of those overshadowed musicians..thought people claim a large number of
his works were inspired from other music directors,yet he gave some nice songs
,which are played regularly in the music channels..

1.Garuda Garuda from Natpukaga

I don't know how many remember this melody from natpukaga movie..a really nice feel
good song..nice beats and picturisation...one of the songs that made simran really
popular..

2.Annamalai :
Almost all songs in this movie were blockbusters...this movie received a cult
status ,and so the songs..the opening BGM in all rajini movies ,that is played when
the 'super star ' name appears is from this movie

3.Ninaithen Vandhai :
This is one of the best albums by deva..one of the movies that established Vijay as
a favorite hero among the house hold...nice feel good songs...and this song
malligaye malligaye was my personal favorite...

4.Kadhal kottai:
This movie was a path breaker for ajith..he probably got the highest number of fan
following after this movie..really lovely songs to compliment this off beat love
story and nice feel good movie too..

5.Enna Azhagu from Love today:

Nice songs in this movie....again one of those off beat love stories,with some nice
music...I was a huge Vijay fan back then ,that's why all these songs are striking
me now) ..this song is really good ,mix of two diffrent tunes. not a mindblowing
stuff but pleasant to hear

6.Asai:
Another path breaking movie for ajith..and all songs were chart busters...in some
interview in a local channel heard rehaman telling that among deva's songs ,'koncha
naal poru thalaiva' was his favorite number..

7.Neruku ner:
Vijay and Surya both of them starred in this movie..awesome songs ...manam
virumbudhe is my favorite song from this movie ...a nice classical song to listen
to and awesome lyrics..

8.Oodha oodha poo from the movie minsara kanna

The movie was a big let down ,but the songs were good...nice songs and this song
oodha oodha poo was my favourite number when it was released ,even now if this song
is played in some music channels ,ill wait for it to get over and then change the
channel..

9.Oru Mani Adithal from the movie Kalamellam Kadhal Vazhga

I don't know how many remember this song... It is a very very nice song..it was one
those movies where murali used to act as collage student chronically dealing with
love failures ..and after 'pottu vaitha ' from the movie Idhayam ,this song
portrayed his intense feeling really really well..and nice lyrics with deep
meaning..

1.Sollamale from Poove Unakaga :

If kadhal kottai was a path breaker for ajith then poove unakaga was a path breaker
for Vijay..nice love story and nice melodies to compliment the song..this song was
a personal favorite of mine ...

2.Kannukulle Unnai Vaithen from Pennin Manadhai Thottu

This movie dint run well ,but this song was a hit...nice feel good song

3.Thoda thoda from the movie thulladha manamum thullum

Another Vijay movie (noticed the list is overflowing with Vijay hits),with nice
songs..and this was my personal favorite...remember being crazy about this song
once upon a time..and nice lyrics..

4.Aval Varuvala :
Another milestone movie for Ajith..awesome songs..few songs in this movie has
acheived a cult status ,esp the song 'selaiyila veedukattava' (a nice dance number
and ajith will look super hot in that song,you cant take your eyes off him :)..

Malare Oru Varthai Pesu from the movie Poomagal Oorvalam:

As far as I know ,Shiva composed music for only one movie ,Poomagal Orvalam ..and I
really liked one song 'Malare oru varthai pesu' from this movie ,started listening
to it because the lyrics were from my fav poet Vairamuthu ,but I ended up liking
this song...a really nice underrated song..

Thendral thendral vandhu from the movie Raasi

Again I dont know how many remember this song..this movie dint run well ,hence the
songs went unnoticed..but this is one of my favourite ajith songs..awesome
melody..the music for this movie is by Sirpi ..

Nooranduku Oru murai from the movie Thayinmani kodi

One of the best melodies ..amazing feel good songs..you cant help but dream when
you listen to this song..vidhyasagar rocks..

Thamara poovukum thannikum from the movie Pasum Pon

Another amazing folk melody from vidhya sagar..really good...nice lyrics too..this
is defenitely one of the underrated foot tapping numbers

stopping here,as usual the list has become big...,and definitely the list is never
ending

Missed out an important personality ,who gave awesome songs ,but forgotten in the
course of history ,because the trolls of him has overshadowed his
creativity...T.RAJENDAR ...shocking...he has given some absolutely wonderful songs
and movie in the past..his recent works are crap ,but cant deny his passion and
talent in his earlier years...Many of his songs after listening to it first time ,I
seriously thought it is Illayarajas work ,only to be proved wrong later..

One of the song that easily mistook for Illayaraja ,only to be proved wrong
later...

2.Idhu kuzhandhai Padum Thalatu from Oru Thalai Ragam

I stopped trolling TR after listening to this song...the depth of music and
lyrics...I really felt ashamed that without valuing a creator I trolled him...the
entire song is based on antonyms ...an amazing work..

Justin Prabhakaran in the movie Pannayarum Padminiyum (2014) gave some wonderful
songs.

Kadhal Vandhaacho song sung by Karthik and Prashanthini certainly was superb.
Enakkaaga Poranthaayae song sung by SPB Charan and Anu Anand.

Some of the songs in the movie were neatly scored and the movie had the best bgm�s
behind the scenes.
It is one of the most underrated yet a good entertaining movie from the Kollywood
industry.
