On November 11, 2019 (Monday) the educational plant tour of the BS mechanical
Philippines campus. The transportation is divided by 4 buses and 2 vans and each has
1 professor/advisor and 3 tour guide speaker. The day started with a tocilog breakfast
on board at 4am and a snack of monde mammon together with 1 bottle of water
(summit). Well it is not bad I should say to start a morning since it will be a long trip from
Manila to Bataan.
We arrive at Bataan nuclear power plant at 9 in the morning. It started with orientations
about safety and a brief history of the place. They introduce the different energy source
for renewable energy like the solar power plant, biomass energy, wind turbine,
geothermal energy, and the hydroelectric energy and for non- renewable energy are the
coals, natural gas, fossil fuel, and of course the nuclear energy which is their specialty.
They use uranium as their fuel and did you know that 1 pellet of this is can produce
300kw of power consumption that can light a single house for 8 months. The program
started in 1958 with the creation of the PAEC under republic act 2067 under the regime
of martial law, former Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos in July 1973 announces to
build a nuclear power plant. But the plant never opened due to issues regarding
corruption and safety, compounded by the fear following the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
It was so compelling to know how much money wasted about this project and also the
TERMINAL CORP. this is where the majority of the cargos in subic went it is just a brief
introduction and we haven’t experience a tour inside due to their busy work at that time.

are using the used bottles after rinsing. The first process is by supplying the bottles that
to be recycle on their warehouse then it will be sorted according to their brands and
types, next is uncasing, and then the pre-feeding inspection where the recycled bottle is
been checked if it is defective or if is still can be refilled, next is the bottle washing to
remove impurities, then another round for inspection but this time is using the electronic
bottle inspection, then if it passed through the inspection it will be sent to filling section
to refill the bottle, and then sealing, coading, fullinspection, casing then palletizing.
