Important Note: Those students who have paid full fees and have confirmed admission are
allowed to appear for Examination.

Examination Instructions
 Examinations will be conducted from 1st till end of every month.

 Exam Fee is Rs. 400/- for each subject.

 The exam fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

 If student pays exam fees and has not booked exam slot/s, the student has to re-pay
exam fees to re-book same subjects, once exam fee payment validity gets over i.e.
after 29th of next month.

 If student has booked the exam/s and has not appeared booked exam/s. i.e.
remained absent, the student has to re-pay exam fees to re-book same subjects.

 Exam Fee - Payment Modes :

1. Online Payment: Students can pay exam fees ‘Online’ using Debit/Credit Card.

2. Demand Draft: Students can send/submit exam form along with Demand Draft
drawn in favor of ‘The Director SCDL, Pune’ payable at Pune, to SCDL, Pune.

 Exam Slot Booking: Exam slot booking is available on ‘First-Come-First-Serve’ basis.

Payment of exam fees through ‘Online’ mode

1. The exam fee online payment done by students gets approved on next
working day by SCDL

2. Only After approval done by SCDL, students can proceed for Exam Slot
Booking.

3. Student can schedule the exam with a gap of one day once exam slot booking
is released.. e.g. If student has paid exam fees ‘Online’ using the Debit/Credit
Card on 1st April, SCDL will approve the transactions on 2nd April. Once the
approval is done, the student can proceed for exam slot booking on 3rd April
and can schedule exam/s for 5th April or later dates.

4. Exam slot booking access remains valid till 29th of next month. This implies
that, student can try to book exam slot, on or before 29th of same month and
also till 29th of next month. For e.g. If the exam fees paid by student has been
approved & exam slot booking access is released on 4th August, then students
can try to book exam slot till 29th August and also till 29th September. ( The
exam fee payment done in any month remains valid only up to 29th of next
month and gets lapsed after said due date)

5. Student can schedule exam on the available dates i.e. from the date of exam
slot booking is released, the exam can be scheduled up to 55th day from the
date student tries to book slot e.g. If the student tries to do slot booking on
29th August, the exam can be booked / scheduled up to 25th October.

6. If student does not schedule exam/s within the slot booking validity period –
(kindly refer above point or remain absent on the day exam is booked, are
liable to re-pay exam fees to re-appear the subject/s being earlier exam fees
gets lapsed. (Please refer Point No. 4 of the above)

7. To appear for exam on 30th & /or 31st of any month online payment
formalities must be completed by students on or before 26th (by 4.30pm) of
same month.

8. For the exam fees paid online, from 28th till 30th & 31st of any month, the
exam cannot be scheduled in the same month. The exam slot booking access
for such students will be released on 1st of next month and exam slot booking
can be done till 29th of same month and up to 29th of subsequent month.

9. In the month of February Exam slot booking can be done till 28th & / or29th.
The slot booking will not be available on 30th/31st of any month.

*( In case student wishes to appear exam/s outside India, the change in


category process formalities are to be completed as per the policies laid down
by SCDL )

Payment of exam fees through Demand Draft

1. Exam forms along with exam fees DD received at SCDL will be processed
within next 2-3 working days and exam slot booking will be released,
thereafter.

2. Student can schedule the exam with a gap of one day once exam slot booking
is released.. e.g. If student has paid exam fees ‘Online’ using the Debit/Credit
Card on 1st April, SCDL will approve the transactions on 2nd April. Once the
approval is done, the student can proceed for exam slot booking on 3rd April
and can schedule exam/s for 5th April or later dates.

3. Exam slot booking access remains valid till 29th of next month. This implies
that, student can try to book exam slot, on or before 29th of same month and

Examinee identification requirements
Student is responsible for understanding and following these identification (ID)
requirements and policies. Student may be denied entrance to the Exam Centre if student
cannot present acceptable ID or if the validity of the ID is a question. The Exam
administration staff has sole discretion on Exam day for determining the validity and
acceptability of any ID presented for admission to the Exam centre, and for any
determinations regarding non-compliance with ID policies. In case of any questions about
our ID Requirements and policies, student must contact Student Support well in advance
of Exam day.

To appear exam, the students must furnish following documents in ORIGINAL

1. SCDL Identity Card

2. Exam Hall Ticket

3. Govt. Issued Photo ID (Acceptable Identity Proofs)

SCDL or its authorized exam centres / assignees reserve the right to withhold or cancel
exam marks at any time in the event that these ID requirements and policies are not
complied with.

Individuals suspected of engaging in criminal activities will be reported to the concerned


law enforcement agencies.

Govt Issued Photo ID (Acceptable Identification Documents)

In addition to the SCDL ID Card issued to the student, student must bring a valid and
acceptable form of identification (listed below) each time the student reports to an SCDL
Exam centre. It is student’s responsibility to ensure that student's ID documents are up-to-
date and available on the day of the examination.

The ID document, in addition to the SCDL ID Card, must:

Be issued by a Govt Organization / Govt Department

Be an original document — photocopied documents are not acceptable

Be valid and current — expired documents (bearing expiration dates that have passed) are
not acceptable, no matter how recently they may have expired

Bear the test-takers full name, in English characters, exactly as it appears on the Student ID
Card
(If the name is too long to fit on the Student ID Card, the name on the ID needs only the part
that appears on the ticket).

Bear a recent recognizable photograph that clearly has the Examinee and the Examinees
photo on the SCDL ID Card and on Acceptable Identity Card.

Be in good condition, with clearly legible text and a clearly visible photograph
The student must carry Identity Card Proof (SCDL Identity Card and Govt. Acceptable ID
with same name)

The student shall not be allowed to appear exam if SCDL Identity Card and Govt. Acceptable
Photo ID does not have same name.

Examples of Acceptable ID

1. Government-issued driver's license


2. Government-issued passport
3. Government-issued Electoral Photo ID Card (EPIC)
4. Government-issued PAN Card with photo
5. Government-issued UID card (Aadhar Card)
6. Employee photo ID card issued by Defense Services, Government Departments & Public
Sector
Undertakings (list mentioned below)

Examples of Unacceptable ID

The following documents are not acceptable ID under any circumstances:


1. Any document that is photocopied
2. Any document that has expired
3. An electronic copy of any ID document on any smartphone or other electronic device
4. Any document that does not bear a recent recognizable photograph that clearly has the
Examinee and the photo on the SCDL ID Card.
5. Any document that does not bear Examinee name in English characters exactly as it
appears on the SCDL ID Card (even if the name is a maiden name or pre-marriage name.
6. Any document that is worn, torn, scuffed, scarred or otherwise damaged in such a
manner that it renders any part of the text on the ID card illegible or renders any part of
the Photographs Unrecognizable
7. Any document that appears tampered with or altered
8. Utility bills such as telephone bills, electricity bills, etc.
9. Property documents such as sale deeds, lease agreements, maintenance bills, etc.
10. Credit or debit card of any kind, even one with a photograph
11. Birth certificate or Marriage certificate
12. School/College Leaving/Transfer Certificate or any other academic credential
13. Ration card
14. PAN Intimation Letter
15. Insurance Policy Documents
16. Credit card or bank statements or passbooks, even one with a photograph.
17. Employee ID card
18. Any temporary ID card
19. Any document not listed in the “Examples of Acceptable ID List” above
20. Aadhar Card and PAN Card application Slip
Important Policies Regarding ID

1. Student is responsible for ensuring that the name he/she used to register with SCDL
exactly matches the name on the ID document(s) he/she will present at the Exam centre. If
Student needs to make a change to his/her name after registering, student should contact
Student Support well in advance of Exam day.

2. The ID presented by the student must sufficiently authenticate student's identification


to the exam centre staff. If the Exam administration staff questions the ID presented,
Student may be required to provide additional ID. If sufficient authentication of student's
identification cannot be made, Student may be denied admission to the Exam Centre or
student's Exam score may be withheld or canceled.

3. If Student leaves the centre to obtain acceptable identification, upon student's return,
Exam Centre staff may be unable to admit the Student to take the exam. Prior admission to
an Exam Centre based on any particular ID document is no guarantee that the same ID
document will be considered acceptable in the future.

4. Exam Centre staff are not required to hold student's seat if student leaves the centre to
obtain acceptable identification.

5. A student should not expect to be permitted to attempt the exam via a smartphone or
any electronic device that contains an electronic copy of their ID proof. A real ID proof is
required at all times. There are no exceptions to this.

6. Admission to the Exam Centre is no guarantee that the ID provided is valid or that
student's scores will be reported. All reported or suspected cases of questionable ID or test-
taker identities are subject to our review and approval before, during or after the Exam
administration.

7. In addition to requirements of valid ID documents, you may be photographed, video


graphed, Thumb-printed or subject to other form of electronic ID confirmation.

8. If Student fails to comply with these identification requirements and policies, Student
may be dismissed from the Exam Centre and student's scores may be withheld or canceled.
If Student is dismissed from the Exam Centre prior to completing the Exam because of
invalid or unacceptable ID, or failure to comply with these ID requirements and policies,
student's Exam fees will not be refunded.
2) Personal Belonging Policy

You are strongly encouraged to leave your personal belongings at home, in your vehicle or
in the custody of the person accompanying you (if any). If you must bring personal
belongings to the EXAM CENTRE, please ensure they are clearly identifiable as many items
look the same, particularly mobile phones. As a courtesy, the EXAM CENTRE will have an
open area away from the testing room designated for personal belongings. All items kept
by you in the open area are solely at your risk and consequence. Storage space is limited,
so plan accordingly. Large luggage items may not be stored by the EXAM CENTRE.

All such personal items are subject to inspection by EXAM CENTRE personnel. You may also
be asked to empty your pockets. SCDL, the EXAM CENTRE and their respective personnel,
will NOT be responsible for loss, theft or other damage to personal property kept by you
voluntarily in the said open area at your own risk. If you keep mobile phones or other
electronic devices in the said open area, you MUST turn them off.

The following items are permitted in the testing room but must remain in your pockets or
under your chair when not in use:

1. Wallet or Purse
2. Medicine, tissues, and other necessary medical or personal items
3. Sunglasses / Eyeglasses case
4. Keys
5. Wrist Watch

The following items are not permitted:

1. Food or drinks (including water, chewing gum, etc.). Remember, you will not be
allowed to eat, drink, or smoke in the testing room

2. Baggage of any kind, including transparent bags, polythene bags, school bags, college
bags, Backpacks, laptop bags, briefcases, luggage, carrying cases, passport covers, or
compass boxes

3. Study materials, including notes, books, periodicals, papers, textbooks or study


Guides

4. Highlighters, correction fluid, correction tape, rulers or other stationery items

5. Knives of any type, including box cutters and knives used as pencil sharpeners
6. Any electronic device including mobile phones, laptops, MP3 players, smart
Phones, Bluetooth devices, PDAs, cameras, pagers, headsets, electronic
Organizers, or any other remote communication or photographic devices

7. Any type of desk clock or timer

8. Outerwear, such as coats, jackets, caps, gloves;

9. If proctor or EXAM CENTRE security personnel find items that are not
Permitted, you will be required to place them in the personal belongings area.
You will not have access to these items during the test.
3) Case of Unfair Means, Testing Irregularities, Compromises, and
Dismissal
1. Impersonating any student or getting impersonated by any person for taking the
tests.

2. Making a false representation pertaining to the eligibility to appear in the test;

3. Communicating or attempting to communicate with any institute personnel


connected with the Conduct of test, or with any paper-setter or examiner, with the
object of finding out the name and address of the paper setter or examiner, or finding
out the questions that have been set by the paper setter or examiner, or with the
object of influencing an examiner in the award of marks, or with the object of unduly
influencing any one of them in the discharge of his/her duties in connection with the
test;

4. Talking to another student, or to any unauthorized person inside or outside the


Exam room during the Exam hours without the permission of a member of the
Proctor or EXAM CENTRE staff, before;

5. Using any aids in connection with the test, including, but not limited to: any
electronic device, any photographic device, any communications device, any smart
device, mechanical pencils, mechanical erasers, pens, pagers, beepers, Exam Centre
calculators, books, pamphlets, notes, unauthorized Exam Centreh paper, rulers,
highlighter pens, stereos or radios with headphones, Exam Centre alarms (including
those with flashing lights or alarm sounds), stop Exam Centres, dictionaries,
translators, compasses and protractors

6. Giving or receiving assistance in answering questions to or from any other


Student/ Person in the Exam Centre or outside during the Exam hours;

7. Disrupting or attempting to disrupt the test, of the examinee or others, using any
means or method;

8. Tampering or attempting to tamper records of an test;

9. Using any obscene or abusive language in his/her answer submissions;

10. Cheating or attempting to cheat the Institute in any manner;

11. During Exam time having in possession or access to:-

1. Any paper, books, note or any other unauthorized material which has relevance
to the syllabus of the test-paper concerned.

2. Anything written on the scale, or any other instrument or on any kind of


Furniture or any other substance, which may have relevance to the syllabus
of the test-paper concerned;

3. Anything written or signs made on the body of the student, on his/her


Clothes/garments, handkerchief, etc. which may have relevance to the
Syllabus of the test-paper concerned;

4. Anything written, or signs made on the admit card/ question paper which
have relevance to the syllabus of the test-paper concerned;

12. Swallowing or attempting to swallow, or destroying or attempting to destroy a


note or paper or any other material, or running away with the material with the
intention of destroying the evidence of using unfair-means, or being guilty of causing
disappearance or destruction of any such material either by himself/herself or with
the assistance of any other person;

13. Using any device to share or exchange information at any time during the tests

14. Attempting to remove Exam materials, including questions or answers, from


the Exam room by any means

15. Creating disturbance or noise in the sole discretion of the EXAM CENTRE
Administrator.

16. Tampering or attempting to tamper the EXAM CENTRE computer at any time

17. Leaving the Exam Centre mid-way during an Exam session without permission
of the Proctor

18. Taking excessive or extended unscheduled breaks during the Exam session.

19. Bringing in the Exam Centre any items in the list of “not allowed” items in the
Personal Belongings Policy

20. Smuggling papers related to the Exam or part thereof into the Exam Centre or
Out of it;

21. Not following instructions or abiding by the rules of the institute or EXAM
CENTRE

22. Any act of omission or commission, by or on behalf of the examinee, whether


Prior to or subsequent to such Exam or the result thereof which in the opinion of the
institute constitutes “Unfair Means?”
