ENGINEER IV

Planning and Programming Unit

 Supervise the execution the strategies and innovative approaches to ensure


that set targets and deliverables under the said Program are met within the
prescribed timeframe in his/her area of assignment:

 Provide inputs in drafting project guidelines based on strategies and innovative


approaches;

 Identify priority LGU beneficiaries and projects based on the agreed/approved


criteria;

 Supervise the execution of technical assistance to LGU beneficiaries to comply


with project requirements;

 In cooperation to Project Implementation Unit provide support in supervising


the pool of WSSPMO Engineers on the following:

 Risk assessment for all projects based on reports submitted by DILG


field offices;

 Implementation of strategies and innovations for smooth execution of


the water supply and sanitation programs being supervised and
managed;

 In cooperation to Utility and Sustainability Unit provide support in supervising


the pool of WSSPMO Engineers on the following:

 Compliance with ISO requirements particularly coaching assistance to


LGU beneficiaries & project guidelines;

 Provision of technical support in the conduct of capacity development


activities;

 Act on matters delegated by the Engineer V;

 Consolidate and review the inputs of Engr III and submit report to Engineer V
in the identification of strategies/approaches and innovations to improve the
performance of the projects managed and administered within his unit of
assignment;

 Consolidate and review the inputs of Engineer III and submit a report to
Engineer V in the identification of strategies/approaches and innovations to
improve the performance of the projects managed and administered within his
unit of assignment;
 Consolidate and review monthly travel plans submitted by Engineer III and
submit report to Engineer V;

 Consolidate and review the inputs of Engineer III and submit a report to
Engineer V on the implementation of projects, including issues and concerns,
and recommendations within his assigned unit.

 Supervise the monitoring of commitments and agreements as indicated in the


aide memoires from the field monitoring activities conducted by Engineer III

 Provide report to Engineer V during weekly meetings on the progress of the


projects managed and supervised as well as results/outcomes of the
recommended strategies and approaches;

 Provide technical inputs to responses to AOMs, IEC materials, technical


documents with relation to his assigned unit.

 Vetting of subproject list from Regional Offices endorsed to the PMO for fund
release / for funding;

 Act as Resource Person during trainings and workshops, and dialogs with LGUs
for matters related to water and sanitation concerns;

 Assist the Engineer III in reviewing and provide additional inputs to technical
documents related to technical concerns that needs actions within his/her area
of assignment;

 Act on requests needing technical skills such as complaints on projects,


technical assistance, when delegated by the Engineer V.

 Perform other duties and functions as may be assigned.
