Case study one

What is word cloud and why is it important? According to dictionary.com tag cloud also

known as word cloud is known as a “visual depiction of user-generated tags attached to online

content, typically using color and font size to represent the prominence or frequency of the tags

depicted”.(www.dictionary.com, 2019) but for me to put it simply word cloud is a group of words

that come together to make a shape often the words and shape have something in common,

like using the shape of a book and the words are authors names. Also people love to make the

fonts different or even bold words that people want others to see more than another, key words

I guess you could say, like on many posters in teachers classrooms you see words like courage

or attitude so that the words will stick out to the students walking by.
 In my first word cloud I used Tagul And I have to say Tagul is super easy to use. Well it's

the only one that I could use nothing else worked but it was easy to use basically doing the work

for you I highlighted the plus sign in this word cloud. Tagul is also one of the few that does not

try to make you sign up or pay so that is really nice if this was on a students paper it would draw

his eyes do to the color and how its different from mostly everything that the normal everyday

classroom would have.

How is word cloud helpful? The first way I can think of word cloud being helpful is threw

letting students express themselves through the word cloud. Anywhere from describing

themselves to describe that book you read as a type of book report. You can also use word

cloud for before you read the book in class to give them some kind of frame structure of the

plot or reading. I also talked about how it could be used as simple as a picture on the wall of a

classroom. Using words like integrity or hardworking, kindness.

 Now this is the point in the project that I stopped having fun, and Got really aggravated

with this multiply sign I used Word Cloud. Just looking at the sign you would think that it's

empty but its not I did the words just like the first word cloud using Tagul but for some reason

know matter the adjustments I would make on work cloud the software it would never get

bigger. With all the good that has been said about Tagul I will say I had one issue with it as I had

with Word cloud software and that is the about of shapes you don't have a big variety to choose

from like how I was doing a math word cloud so i was looking for math ones and the only thing

they had was a plus and minus sign.

I tried to use all eight of the cites that was given to use and out of the eight I found one

that was not trying to make you buy things or start a membership. I used the one that looks

terrible on purpose to show the issues I had with the cities also in order to get answers.

Also with the instructions given I believe this is what you asked for if there are any issues I do
apologize.
