Case study 2

Professor Senn

What are the differences between PowerPoint and Prezi? Let me start off by telling you

about Prezi since im good and furious from using it. Prezi is the most aggravating website I

have used first the link that you gave me did nothing that you said it was im convinced I did

something wrong so I came a little free account. That was easy but when you get to actually

make your prezi that's when things get terrible you can barely do anything without them trying to

sell you something or without your computer slowing down. When your computer slows down it

almost glitches so you keep typing and it does nothing then when it comes back does some

weird thing that you did not tell it to. This website could make an A student wants to drop out I

take pride in having good grades and I was close to throwing in the towel on Prezi and letting

the teacher give me a 0 or 50. Prezi is so consumed by giving you the step by step that it leaves

out simple things. It also separates your information into little groups so if you want to go back

and look at past stuff you have worked on its four clicks that will take 2 minutes because its slow

and will do something you don't want it to do when it glitches. I did not think PowerPoint was

that good until I used Prezi now I have nothing but nice things to stay. It Made putting the

information into the slides vary easy and with the ability to go back with ease and change

previous work. Both did not have anything for me doing a math lesson to write in exponents so I

created a word box and placed it where the exponents should be this was really easy in

PowerPoint but in Prezi it made me want to pull my hair out with the limited motion and glitches.

According to Marianne Rogowski people and teachers actually like prezi when she said “The

tool is intuitive enough that students should have no problem using it. Teaching design concepts
will go a long way in creating engaging presentations.”(Rogowski, 2019) I still don't understand

what I was supposed to do but I believe I have done everything right.

PowerPoint in my opinion is better than Prezi, when I used it I did not want to pull out my

hair. It did not make my computer slower and helped me get the job done overall in an easier

way. PowerPoint with buttons are a great way to spice up a PowerPoint. Buttons can bring you

from one page to another in a quick and fun way. Buttons can also bring you to different slides

as a creative way to get through the PowerPoint.
