DESCRIPTION
There are many different ways an individual can edit or alter a
photograph. In my project, I will go demonstrate how much Adobe
Lightroom CC and Adobe Photoshop can make a difference for a
photograph. As a photographer, I use these two applications for
almost all of my images I take and can personally say they make a
big impact in my work. Anyone can take a picture, however many do
not know the importance of post-production and editing.

PROJECT MEDIUM (MULTIMEDIA)

I am majoring in Photography, so for my project, I will be using

Lightroom and Photoshop to edit my pictures I will turn in. I chose
this medium since it is a great source of technology in the
photography world. All forms of Adobe are important in
photography. I will display my photos, before and after using the
Adobe applications.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF MULTIMEDIA

Adobe has many different benefits for any photographer or
videographer. The forms of Adobe I will be using are Lightroom CC
and Photoshop. With these applications, one can do many different
actions; color editing, cropping, healing/cloning, presets,
watermarking, organize/manage images, etc. Basically, one can
change a photograph completely with these applications.

POTENTIAL CHALLENGES OF MULTIMEDIA

The challenge with this form of technology is that it takes some time
for one to learn everything. It is also very time-consuming and even
still after working in it for a long time, one can still be upset with
their results. A way one can overcome these challenges is by
watching professionals use the applications, either in person or
YouTube also has thousands of tutorials for beginners.

Outline:

 Take pictures
 Take 4 of those best pictures and edit/alter them with
Lightroom and/or Photoshop
 Use Microsoft Word to display my photos before and after
using Adobe applications
o Give explanations of the importance of Lightroom CC and
Photoshop

ARTIST STATEMENT

Technology is used in almost aspect in the photography world. The

camera is obviously the most important form of technology and has
multiple different setting one has to change in order to get a
correctly exposed photo. The main settings a photographer should
know in a camera are the shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and
aperture. A professional knows these settings like the back of their
hand and do not even have to think about which one they have to
change in order to get the right image. Even if these settings aren’t
100% correct, the photographer has multiple different applications

they can use in post-production to edit it to look how they want it to.
For my project I will use Adobe Lightroom CC and Adobe Photoshop
to edit and alter my images in order to get them to look how I want.
These forms of technology, the camera and applications, and what
makes photographs look amazing. I will show the before and after
photographs I shot and edited, which shows how important and
impressive this form of technology is. Back then, no one had
Lightroom or Photoshop and had to edit and alter the photos another
way. Over the past 100 years or so, many forms of editing
technology have been introduced. The technology in the
photography world will just keep getting increasingly better. The
post-production will become easier and more accessible. I believe
the process will be less time-consuming and easier to learn for
beginning photographers.
