INFORMATION SHEET
Qualifying Criteria
In order to be considered for admission into the MIT participants must:
Be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED;
Be fluently bilingual in a spoken language (be able to speak, read and write in English and an additional
language when applicable) and
Successfully pass the Language Assessment Test with a score of 75/100 or higher. The test includes an
evaluation of both written and oral proficiency in English and the target language.
Fees:
All Applicants must pay a $50.00 non refundable Language Assessment Test
fee.
*Note: A letter from the Massachusetts employer verifying employment is required.This funding is
available after all other resources from employer for education and training are exhausted.
All Applicants are required to attend one of the mandatory Orientation and Language Assessment
Test Session on the following dates:
*08/22/19 (Thursday) at 5:30 p.m. or
*08/27/19 (Tuesday) at 5:30 p.m.
Location: Center for Health Impact at 35 Havard Street, Suite 300, Worcester, MA 01609
The training will be held for a period of 60 hours.
Classes will run consecutively on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 17, 2019 through
December 17, 2019 from 5:45 to 9:00 PM. Please refer to the class schedule for specific details.
Once enrolled, course fees are not refundable.
In order to be eligible to receive a ‘Certificate’ at the end of the program, students are only allowed one
absence during the duration of the training. If students miss more than one class, they must attend a make
up session with the approval of the Program Director.
