ABSTRACT

This research paper entitled “Internet Addiction and Aggressive

Behavior of Grade 10 Students” investigated the relationship between the

internet addiction and aggression among Grade 10 students. A correlational

research design was used to show the relationship between the internet

addiction and aggression. A total of 150 Grade 10 students from Doña Rosario

High School constituted the sample group which was determined by simple

random sampling of probability; the researcher used a standardized survey

questionnaire, the Internet Addiction Scale (IAS) and Buss-Perry Aggression

Questionnaire (BPAQ) to collect the data. The severity of internet overuse was

evaluated using Young's internet addiction test. Aggression was measured using

the aggression questionnaire, and modified hostility inventory by Buss and Perry.

Based on the statistical test used by, internet addiction was associated with

aggression and did have a strong relationship between the two variables.
