INTRODUCTION NOTE:

In today’s day and time due to the drastic change in climate and the depletion in the ozone
layer of
the earth, we humans are exposed to a lot of heat rays and pollution that damage our skins,
hair and our scalps. While we take a lot of care protection our skin from the harsh rays of
sun and the polluted environment be applying sun blocks and sun screens we tend to forget
to cover our hair.
Because hair is often unprotected, its very susceptible to damage caused by air pollution.
Hair stylists say that soot, dust, gases and dirt could cause irritation, dryness, breakage and
even premature baldness. Hair loss affects roughly more than 70% of the population and
only increases in places where pollution is more prevalent.
Specialists in the hair transplant industry have seen an increase in their services, especially
in urban environments where air quality is worse and has a greater adverse effect on the
body and hair.
Today air is heavily loaded with dust, lead, smoke, nickel, arsenic and hydrocarbon which is
extremely unhealthy for our interior health but also affects our hair. The reason behind this
is, these toxic gases enters into our skin and hinders the growth of our hair and also causes
heavy hair loss.
We in Loreal are trying to overcome this issue that is faced by a lot of the people who are
continuously exposed to such toxic gases and harsh sunlight by coming up with a new
product called LOREAL TOTAL REPAIR now with ACTIVATED CHARCOAL that repairs the
damages caused and protects hair from pollution and other toxic gases and dust particles.
COMPANY BACKGROUND :
For more than a century, we have devoted our energy and our
competencies solely to one business: beauty. We have chosen to offer
our expertise in the service of women and men worldwide, meeting
the infinite diversity of their beauty desires. We are committed to
fulfilling this mission ethically and responsibly.
For more than a century, L’Oréal has been involved in the adventure of
beauty. The small company founded by Eugène Schueller in 1909 has
become the number one cosmetic group in the world.
In 1909, Eugène Schueller, a young chemist, founded the company that
was to become the L’Oréal group. It all began with one of the first hair
dyes that he formulated, manufactured and sold to Parisian
hairdressers. With this, the founder of the group forged the first link in
what is still the DNA of L’Oréal: research and innovation in the service
of beauty.
Upon the death of her mother, Liliane Bettencourt, who was principal
shareholder, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers is the current owner of the
company, with a 33.14% stake.
