Stage 3 – Learning Plan
Summary of Key Learning Events and Instruction
 There will be several discussions periodically throughout the unit to check comprehension and to make sure
students are heading in the correct direction. Students will come to the realization that things they were
taught prior to their readings can help build their understanding. Students will be asked to create several
drafts in order to make sure students are guiding themselves, and their peers, in the right direction. These
workshops will also allow for students to see when they need to continue to revise or if they are ready to
begin editing. My 15-day unit plan will consist of reading overviews, understanding what analysis is, and
strengthening their writing and reading skills. Students need to be able to infer when reading a text and work
on processing information as they read their material.
