Philosophy and Objectives
The Philosophy of the Institution and the College of Nursing (CN) are clearly defined in the course objectives of Related

Learning Experience (RLE) per clinical area of exposure.
2 The Clinical RLE Objectives is based on the Quality Standard (QS) set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
3 The Philosophy and objectives of the RLE is committed to the holistic development of the student nurses.
The Philosophy and objectives are updated periodically based on the growing needs and conditions of the national and global

community.
The College of Nursing provides student nurse the RLE Manual where philosophy and objectives, rules and regulations,

guidelines and requirements per clinical area are clearly defined and stated.
Related Learning Experience of student nurses is secured by Memorandum of Agreement between the College of Nursing and

Affiliating Hospital

The Faculty/Clinical Instructor …
7 are qualified, diverse and adequate in number to sustain the related learning experiences of student nurses
8 provide written clinical objectives; rotation plan and explain it properly to student nurses.
9 conduct general orientation prior to clinical exposure and clinical orientation per clinical area as first entry activity
10 undergo training and preceptorship in the affiliating hospital & orientation with Head Nurses prior to clinical exposure.
11 guide & demonstrate right attitude & behavior in the achievement of objectives of RLE and attaining the quality education.
12 integrate theory into practice and refer practice based on theory and principles of nursing.
13 demonstrate nursing professional roles and responsibilities in facilitating students learning in laboratory & clinical area
14 provide students variety of teaching and learning methodologies appropriate with clinical areas of specialization
demonstrate excellent teamwork, collaboration, coordination and communicate well with the staff nurses, student nurses, patients

16 conduct supervision, peer support and social support in facilitating student’s learning.
