GUIDELINES & MECHANICS

A. Over-all Guidelines

1. The candidates and his/ her school must be a bona fide member of PIIE-NCL.
2. Each School must only have one male and one female representative for the pageant. The
participating school shall be responsible for screening the candidates in accordance to the
rules and guidelines set by the PIIE-NCL.
3. The contestants, upon the endorsement of their respective Schools must fill-in the official
entry form on the date specified by the organizers.
4. The organizing committee has the right to call the attention of the candidates in cases of any
untoward behavior that would cause disturbance of the scheduled activity.
5. Candidates should have no records of minor and major offenses in their respective

schools.

B.The candidates will compete on the following categories:

 Popularity Vote
 Facebook Likes
 Casual Wear
 Organization Shirt
 PIIE-NCL Shirt
 Question and Answer Portion

II. QUALIFICATION

The Search is open to single female and male students who meet the following minimum
requirements:

 A bona fide Industrial Engineering student and currently enrolled.

 With pleasing personality

III. MECHANICS

1. Each candidate will compete in the following categories:

PAGEANT NIGHT : February 01, 2020 (Saturday) at 1 PM

Venue : SLU Grounds

 Popularity Vote – there will be tickets to be sold that will serve as raffle tickets and at
the same time, votes of support for the chosen candidate. Each ticket is equivalent to 10
votes. The percentage will be computed based on the highest number of tickets sold
endorsed to a candidate. The candidate with the highest number of tickets endorsed will
get 30% of the category Popularity Vote.

 Facebook Likes – Each candidate will have official pageant photos that will be uploaded
on the Facebook Fan Page of PIIE-NCL. Candidates are encouraged to share their official
pageant photos to gather more likes from their friends. The percentage will be computed
based on the highest number of total likes of all the photos of a certain candidate. The
candidate with the highest number of likes will get 10% of the category Facebook Likes.

 Casual Wear Competition - in this category candidates will be required to wear the casual
attire of their choice to satisfy the criteria of Design and Fitting (50%) and Poise & Bearing
(50%).

 Question & Answer – Each candidate will be given one question to answer and the
answer will be rated according to its relevance, substance, & value to the question given.

The Top Five (5) Candidates will be chosen according to these criteria:

 Popularity Vote - 30%

 Facebook Likes - 10%
 Casual Wear - 20%
 Question & Answer - 40%

 In the Final Round, previous scores will be disregarded & the Top Five candidates
will be rated based on the final performance on the following criteria:

 Intelligence - 50%
 Beauty - 30%
 Poise & Personality - 20%

 The Top Three (3) Candidates will be declared as Mr. & Ms. PIIE-NCL 2020, 1st
Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up, respectively.
 The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
IV. AWARDS

The following Special Awards will be given to candidates that garnered the highest score on
each category:

1. Mr. & Ms. Popularity

2. Most Facebook Likes Award
3. Most Photogenic Award
4. Congeniality Award
5. Sponsors Choice Award

The Major Awards are the following:

1. Mr. & Ms. PIIE 2020

2. 1st Runner Up

3. 2nd Runner Up
