SOURCES OF LIGHT

NATURAL SOURCES OF LIGHT – sun, moon, stars, lightning, fireflies

SUN – is the nearest star to earth, it is the brightest thing in the sky

FIREFLIES – glow in the dark, they give off their own light

STARS – give off their own light.

ARTIFICIAL SOURCES OR MAN MADE

- Lamp, lantern, light bulb, traffic light, lighter, Christmas light, flashlight,
lighted candle
- These object do not produce their own light

HEAT ENERGY

USES OF HEAT

 Make all things warm


 Help us become healthy and strong
 Help the plants to grow
 Dry our wet clothes

PRODUCING HEAT

 Burning wood and kerosene gives off heat


 Rubbing hands can produce heat
 Electricity can make heat
 Electric stoves use to cook food
 Flat iron is used to press clothes.
 Heat is needed to keep our body warm
