 Abstract
This software titled “TradeSkill Seeker” is a website intended to facilitate the search for trades
people (Electrician, Plumber etc..) easy. Key stakeholders of the system are customers, trades
people and contractors. System can be used by any internet user to find a tradesmen in their
locality to perform an intended job. Users can get quotation from tradespeople upon creation
of a post requesting quotes. Thus user can compare and grab best deals. Tradesmen can register
themselves in the system and get jobs by sitting at home. Upon completion of the work
customers can rate and review tradesmen. Contractors can hunt talents from these tradesmen
for a contract work that needs more than one human resource. Contractors can also show case
and sell their works (properties, building etc..). Admin can block any tradesmen or contractor
who is found to be a spam or non-legit worker.

Admin

 Admin is responsible for maintaining the system and to insert necessary

values.
 Admin needs to login to the system.
 Admin adds category of Trades People.
 Admin verifies and approve registration request from Trades People and
Contractors.
 Admin can pull reports from the system.
 Admin can delete the account of spam tradesmen and contractors.

TradesPeople

 Tradesmen shall register themselves in the system with

o Name
o License
o Phone
o Email
o Password
o Address etc..
 After admin verifies the details, account gets activated and tradesmen can
receive request for quotes and notification for jobs from contractors.
 Tradesmen shall login to the system to fully access the system functionalities.
 Tradesmen should be able to upload their already completed work pictures.
 Tradesmen can view the requested quotes from customers.
 Upon viewing the quotes they can mark interest on that particular job.
 Once they marked interest customer will get details of tradesmen and they will
contact tradesmen through means outside the system.
 Tradesmen can put a price on the quote request.
 If customer assign that job to particular tradesmen, this tradesmen will be able
to view it in assigned jobs category from him page.
  Tradesman can view job vacancy requirements from contractors and respond
to the job.

Contractors

 They need to register themselves in the system

 Upon successful verification by admin, account gets activated.
 They can create a “tradesmen wanted” post for their contract work.
o Job name
o Job description
o Type of tradesmen
o Number of tradesmen
o Work start date
o Location of work.
 This can be for any number of tradesmen as the contactor needs.
 This notification will be send to all the tradesmen in the contract work
location (based on postal code) and contactor will get details of those
tradesmen whoever marks interest on the notification.
 Contractor can contact them directly.
 Job will be removed from the system on the “Work start date or contractor can
manually delete it before the date.
 Contractors should be able to rate and review tradesmen after job.
 Contractor can sell their work(Constructed properties, buildings).
 Contractor can post the images with description.
 Customers can view the post and contact contractors directly.


Seekerss

 User should register first.

 User can search for tradesmen with
o Type of tradesmen (Electrician, plumber etc..)
o Type of job (Full work, maintenance)
 All tradesmen in that locality should be shown to user comparing the postal
code of user and tradesmen.
 User should be able to view the profile of each tradesmen which include:
o Reviews about that person
o His/Her contact information
o Images of the previous work
 User should be able to get quotes from traders
 User can get quote by giving following information:
o What type of tradesmen
o What kind of work it is.(full/maintenance)
o Give a title for job
o Give job description
o When to start the job
o Expected budget
o A picture of work needed (optional)
 This quotation request will be shown to tradesmen in that postal code of
customer.
 If tradesmen click on interest button for this particular quotation user should
be able to view the profile and details of that tradesmen.
 Tradesmen should be able to mark comments on this post and also other
tradesmen should be able to view comments.
 This job will remain active till the job start date provided by the user or user
can remove the job before that.
 User can rate and review the tradesmen after job is completed.
