 My Goals

My name is Toni Dismuke,

and my goal is to be a
Chemical Engineer in the
next ten years. By then I will
be 24 and making
approximately $140,990.27.
After taxes I would have
$93,758.52 to buy a house, car,
and support myself.
 My House
My house has 5 bedrooms
and 4 baths. The house cost
$740,00, and my monthly
mortgage is $2,692. My set
house payment was $2,734, so
I have a little bit of money to
spare. I choose to live in
Georgia because I don’t ever
plan on leaving here.
 My Car

I decided to get a 2017

Hyundai Elantra Limited. It
cost $16,998 because it is
used. I pay $269 a month for
72 months. It has 18K millage.
 My Family/Other

I don’t plan on being married

or having children in the next
ten years. Each month I pay
$1,171.99 in bills, and I pay
$400 in insurance and gas for
my car. After I pay my bills
and things like that, I should
have $3,280 if nothing goes
wrong.
 Summary
From this project, I feel more prepared for my future life. I’ve learned that
planning out your budget is a lot of work, but useful if you want to have
extra money left over. Also, I learned that being an adult is not as stressful
as I thought, if I have a plan for being one.
