AMAZING RACE

Guidelines and Mechanics

1. Teams must be composed of 4 members: one Grade 7 student, one Grade 8 student,
one Grade 9 students and one Grade 10 student. A maximum of 15 teams may
participate in the race.
2. Team members shall gather at the starting point. The game starts upon the signal of the
emcee.
3. The challenge for each station will be given the moment the teams reach that station.
The challenge will be written on a piece of paper along with its instructions.
4. Teams must strictly follow the instructions given for each challenge. As a penalty, the
violating teams are not allowed to continue the challenge for 5 seconds for each
instance that the teams violate or disobey the instructions.
5. Each team must finish the challenge in each station before proceeding to the next.
6. There will be 8 stations in total.
7. A finish line will be located at the end of the last station. The first team to cross the finish
line will be hailed as the winner.
Mechanics for each station:
What is in the Box?
1. One player may represent the team.
2. The player will pick a number from a bowl and then the player will go to the box which
he/she picked.
3. Then the player needs to identify the what is inside the box. After giving the correct
answer, the team may proceed to the next location.
Guess the Song
1. Player 1 must pick a song title from the first bowl and the animal sound on the second
bowl.
2. Player one must only sing the song using the chosen animal sound. The player should not
dance the choreography of the song if there are any.
3. Once the remaining players guessed the song, player number 2 will pick a song title from
the bowl and must be sang with the same animal sound.
4. The team must guess 3 songs correctly to move on to the next station.

Find the missing piece
1. The team must work together to find the missing piece.
2. The players must look for the paper with the sentence “I am always at the birthday parties”
3. Players are allowed to roam around the library but they must work silently.
4. Teams which cause too much noise will receive the penalty.
5. The found piece of paper will be their key to the next round.
Pop the balloon
1. All the players will run from left to right.
2. The first player will pop the first balloon while the second player holds it.
3. After it pops the second player will run to the third player to pop the balloon and so on
and so forth until they run out of balloons
4. There is no time limit.
Brain masters
1. The questions are related to math, science and general knowledge
2. The players are given 5 seconds to answer each questions.
3. The team must answer 5 questions correctly.
 4. Once through, they already completed the station.
Sample question:
What is the basic unit of life?
Answer: Cells
Eat and Guess
1. All players shall be blindfolded and given a specific food to eat that they need to identify
once they swallow it up.
2. There are different variety of foods to be given to the players.
3. Only three players will represent their team.
4. All three players must be able to identify the food they ate to proceed to the next station.
Mini Obstacle Course
1. All players will be blindfolded.
2. They must follow the string to go to the end of the course.
3. Holding or touching the string is allowed.
4. When all players reach the end of the course, they may proceed to the next station.
Fast Talk
1. Each member of the team must answer one question truthfully.
2. The players will take turns in answering.
3. Each player will get a question from a fishbowl that he/she must read and answer aloud.
4. The questions will be a bit personal but no under the belt questions are involved.
5. When all team members finish answering, the team may proceed to the last round.
Sample question
Never have you ever skip school because of a broken heart?
Face the Dare
1. The team will be given a final dare to do before finishing the race.
2. The dare will be drawn out off a fish bowl.
3. After finishing this station, the team may run to the finish line in order to win the race.
