ABOUT VIT
Vellore Institute of Technology founded in 1984 is one of the top
ranked universities in India and has been featured in the list of “top
15 engineering colleges of India” by INDIA TODAY Magazine. Recently
MHRD, Govt. of India has issued VIT the letter of intent to confer it as
Institute of Eminence (IOE).
 ABOUT AVITAR
Team Avitar is made up of a diverse group of students working towards a
common goal. We are made up of all class levels and a variety of majors,
who come together to design, build, race and present an ATV, AVITAR.
We are all passionate and enthusiastic about having a very exciting
season ahead. Being part of Team Avitar allow members to experiment
and learn. We also learn to form a good network of people. Each student
gets hands-on experience for multiple aspects of the car, throughout the
design, build and testing, moreover they learn team management,
teamwork and other business aspects of Avitar. We also take pride in our
ability to further the excitement of science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics to both fellow students as well as the community through
our outreach programs and events we partake in.

COMPETITIONS
MEGA ATV MEGA ATV CHAMPIONSHIP is a national level ATV (All-terrain
vehicles) racing championship in India organized by
“Autosports india”. It is an inter-college national
level racing championship for engineering students
for mechanical/ automobile branches. To date, 3
seasons held and the fourth season is to be held in
March 2019 in GOA.

ATVC Aravalli Terrain Vehicle Championship (ATVC) is a

national level event organized by Infileague
Motorsports and is a golden opportunity for
engineering technocrats like you.
The competition is to design and fabricate a
steering ATV /dune buggy that would be operated
by a fuel engine.
