JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager - Grants Implementation will responsible for proper execution of the livelihood project -
Poultry Farming, for Mahad location in Raigad District and Dhar location in Madhya Pradesh. The incumbent will
be assigned to identify, select and train 2000 women from below poverty line households as the project
beneficiaries. The training and other inputs will include distribution of chickens, poultry sheds, training on financial
literacy, leadership and enterprise development.

S/he will be based at Mahad / Dhar and lead the field level team (Project Officer, Community Mobilizers and
Community Animator) for attaining the project goals and timely implementation of the planned activities, managing
the finances, providing field level information for donor reporting and establishing linkages with other
stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Based on the project design and annual plan, prepare the detailed implementation plan for the entire
duration of the project.
 Develop criteria for selecting 2000 women from BPL households.
 Organize project start-up workshop with key stakeholders.
 Develop and track the implementation plan with the support of Country Office and the Technical Team.
 Ensure effective implementation of the project by closely monitoring it, providing handholding support to
the community level staffs and by reporting the project accomplishments monthly.
 Conduct regular field visits and use the observations to fine-tune the project activities.
 Form Poultry Farming Groups (PFG) at the cluster of villages and form a poultry producer company
(PPC) as an apex body.
 Enhance the skills and commitment of the Women Entrepreneurs to successfully run poultry producer
company.
 To establish Producer Company with individual membership and building linkages for marketing,
technical support, negotiation skills, and increased portfolio.
 Ensure performance planning and evaluations is done for all field level staff.
 Plan and conduct training and capacity building activities for the communities directly or through external
consultants.
 Build associations and rapport in the community, especially for participation of children, youth and
families in the program activities.
 Ensure appropriate reports are submitted as per the agreed timeline, monitoring and tracking
requirements are being met and established controls are in place.
 Collect, update and analyze information and generate reports for dissemination.
 Prepare monthly reports on project activities, trainings conducted with case studies and share the major
outcomes/ achievements.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

 Post graduate degree or equivalent in Development Studies or Social Sciences.


 Professional or technical qualification will be added advantage.
 5-7 years’ of experience in Entrepreneurship/ skill development projects.
 Experience in formation and strengthening of a Producer Company/ Cooperative, Poultry/ Livestock
Management will be an added advantage.
 Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in Hindi & English. Ability to communicate in
regional languages will be advantageous.
 Strong computer skills, with familiarity in using Microsoft Office suite applications.
 Excellent team player with a commitment to team building.
 Be gender sensitive with strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of excluded and
disadvantaged children.
 Be an organized, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual.
