1. Introduction

One of the top leaders that inspiring me is William Henry "Bill" Gates III, also known as
Bill Gates. Bill Gates has the feature of extroversion dimension that is gregarious, assertive,
sociable, pursuing higher performance, enhanced in leadership and higher job and life satisfaction.
As for Openness of which Bill Gates is creative, flexible and autonomous, enhanced leadership
and more adaptable to change. He achieves the best result of art and science, and has the strong
leadership skills which drive the Microsoft to success. Also, Bill Gates is the entrepreneurship,
constant creative mind which will earn today’s success.

As Peter Drucker once proclaimed, considered by some as "the founder of modern


management." "Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things."
Management is doing things right, which enhancing operational performance, reducing expenses
and increasing revenues at the same time as increasing inventive production values and target
market appreciation. Leadership is doing the right things, which setting organizational clear goals
and financial resources to fulfill the organization’s vision. I accept as true with that, on the way to
be an effective and good manager, you may need considerable leadership qualities. As Peter
Drucker’s statement suggests, there are important differences (J.D.Meier, 2009).

Charismatic leadership seems to be transformational leadership, they are both inspiring and
motivating their crew individuals. Charismatic leader is still a different type of leader. This leader
exudes enthusiasm for his subordinate with a view to encourage them to attain favored outcomes.
Thus, transformational leadership may be described as growing the hobby of the subordinates to
gain better performance and revealing the dedication and beliefs in the enterprise (Team, 2016).

The History of Microsoft started on April 4, 1975, it was founded by Bill Gates and Paul
Allen. Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational computer technology corporation. It
develops, licenses, manufactures, and supports a huge variety of software products for computing
devices. One of the Bill Gates' key visions of the company was to "to get a workstation running
our software onto every desk and eventually in every home". For now their mission is to empower
every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more (Microsoft, 2016). Microsoft's
popular products are the Microsoft Windows operating system and the Microsoft Office suite of
productivity software. Furthermore, it has worldwide sales offices, the main research and
development center at its corporate headquarters in Redmond, Washington, U.S. Microsoft has
offered various types of products, which Microsoft online initiative consists of offerings together
with Live Search, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail and others. Microsoft Office,
that's the company's line of office software. The software product includes Word, Access,
PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and others. Nevertheless, Microsoft
sells computer video games that run on Windows PCs, with the release of the Xbox. Thus,
Microsoft Visual Studio is the set of programming tools and compilers for company. The current

America and parts with Europe. I suppose Microsoft can refer to the ranked top in Glassdoor's
awards 2016 that is Airbnb, so that can make Microsoft ranked the best multinational company
workplaces around the globe next time. Open-minded place of work with a deep feels of humility.
They need a strong set of core value in order to promote a generally positive work atmosphere.
The upper management can more caring or mindful of long-term growth and development. Every
meal is made in-house with a variety of options such as vegetarian, gluten-free or others.
Difference is truly embraced and celebrated here (Glassdoor, 2016).

Next, it is pretty nicely documented that Google has a unique culture. It’s now not the

Firstly, Microsoft has a big company's resources with a small company's agility and focus.
He always had greater technical skills than interpersonal abilities. When he first created Microsoft,

overall performance afterward, becoming more of a transformational by using trying to

organization, so can achieve the highest result. The higher the job knowledge will contribute to
higher level of performance. However, Bill Gates always rude and give commands of other staffs,
and he always interrupts to people in the presentation during the meeting. Bill Gates also received
complaints that he did not return calls or answer calls at his early stage of career.

In a nutshell, his mood fluctuate and change frequently and he is sometimes behaving open
and sometimes withdrawn emotionally. Bill Gates never forgets either kindness or unkindness
shown to him.
