The first main point that stood out to me in the Linkedin videos was the significance of a
profile picture. It puts emotion to words and give people an opinion to form solely off a picture.
The profile picture will engage people 20x more than if it were blank. The second point that
stood out to me was the verbage to brand yourself as a student. The simple word choice can
make you look attractive or desperate. Next, the third point that stuck with me was the tips to
creating a great summary. If someone gets to your profile and they like your main picture, the
next thing a company or connection may be looking for is a great summary. Without a great
summary your profile will fail greatly. The summary is where someone stops, reviews, and then
decides if they’re looking further or moving on. Fourth point is how important a profile can be to
a high school Senior, this is a tool that helps you with college admission. Lastly, the fifth point I
take away from these videos is how easy it is to get noticed by recruiters and how great of a tool
it can be to find a fitting career you love. Putting yourself out there and following the tips with
networking within your desired career can have such a major impact with such simple stoke of
the pen moves.

I can implement four of the five main points into my personal brand and I am excited to
do so. I cannot implement number four as I am no longer a high school senior looking for
college admission. Number one point is going to be in my top one of the two most important
points. Profile picture and summary are equally tied for success on a personal brand. Point
number two is also going to have an impact with every section of my personal brand as I will
use careful and attractive verbiage with all public information.

I feel my personal brand is very positive and well liked. My personal brand positives are
good ethics, motivated, great attitude, high energy when appropriate, leader/coach, mature,
loyal and driven. My negatives on my personal brand I personally feel I am sometimes too cocky
due to such high confidence, and my lack of routine. I like to “wing it” and I have always
struggled with a routine.

As for improving in person, that will come with time. Knowing what I need to work on, if I
am conscious of my behavior everyday, I can brand myself exactly how I want and
adjust/improve my negative characteristics. As for online, being able to have a very professional
profile picture and summary of what I do, I can brand myself maturely and sharp.
My personal brand can have a major impact on my current career and future
employment. My personal brand is why I’ve had such major success at such a young age and it
will be why I reach my goals I have set out to reach. Another key player to my personal brand is
when you have a positive personal brand recognition your name will be networked and you can
make future career impacts through who you may know. Knowing people that like you and
speak highly of you can lead to great opportunities.
