No medal of valor was given to the
slain Special Action Force or SAF
commandos In the 114th anniversary
program of the Philippine National Police’s
service last august 7,2015. Chief Supt.
Wilben Mayor, says that the fallen SAF 44
are meant to receive Medal of valor but
only President Aquino can give this kind of
honor. He also explains that the program
was short in time. The Criminal
Investigation and Detection group was
recognized while the SAF 44 are not. This
enrages many people including the
families of the slain SAF Commandos.

Palawan in Bangsamoro region

Palawan Rep. Douglas Hagedorn
gives support for the proposed
Bangsamoro Basic Law, but warns the
Moro Islamic Liberation Front(MILF) in
claiming his province in the new
autonomous region that BBL wants to
create. Hagedorn says that Palawan is not
a part of Mindanao for its geographically
located in Southern Luzon. He warns that if
MILF will insist, he will be forced to
challenge the effectivity of including
Palawan in the draft BBL before the
supreme Court. Hagedorn says that
if constitutional issues in the BBL are
resolved, it could bring peace for all
Filipinos living in the region
