SAMPLE BROADCAST NEWS STORY
Firefight broke out in the main battle area of Marawi City on Monday as
government forces prepared for a "final push" against the ISIS-linked Maute group.

Military and police attempted to flush out the remaining forces of Maute, Abu
Sayyaf, and ISIS out of buildings, including the four-storey C-M-D Center Point Mall.

According to Brigadier General Restituto Padilla, military has pushed rebel forces
and their snipers out of tall buildings and attempted to reduce the 20 hectare territory of
the Maute as they entered the 112th day of combat.

Military intelligence revealed Friday that only O-mar-kha-yam Maute of the

Maute brothers may be left in Marawi City with Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon,
Padilla added.

Meanwhile, President Rodrigo Duterte remains firm against any negotiation with
the Maute group for the release of their hostages.

bilyong shabu shipment mula China.
