Ignite 2019

Narrative Report

College of Industrial Technology celebrates its acquaintance party. As part of it, CIT-SC
with sub-organization of the department construct and set up an event that would build a strong brotherhood
of the students in the said college. The event also showcase the talent of every student of CIT Department.
Officers gathered and worked for it to become possible and successful.

The event comprise different fun-filled activity that CIT students can join. The main portion of the
event was the search for “Mr. and Ms. CIT 2019”. Ignite 2019 was held at Gov. Feliciano “Sanoy” Leviste
Multi-Purpose Gymnasium PB Main I last November 18, 2019 (Monday) with a theme “Ignite 2019:
Building the Future, Binding for Success.”

It was the most awaited event of the year for CIT students. The excitement of everyone was written
on their faces as they wear the color of each house. There was a Holy Mass before the event begun, as part
of the College tradition for the peace of the whole event. Event started with the presentation of flags of each
organization and/or houses. The houses namely METAL TECH as Gryffindor, IEETS as Hufflepuff, ACTS
as Raven claw and MICS as Slytherin. It was followed by the opening message of Assoc. Prof. Servillano
A. Gardiano, the Associate Dean of CIT and an inspirational message by Dr. Philip Y. Del Rosario, Dean
of CIT.

Mechatronics, Instrumentation and Control Society (MICS) officers were assigned in different task.
Other MICS officers in partnership with other members of Association of Computer Technology Students
(ACTS) were assigned for the certificates, prizes and awards of the event. The other members of different
organization were assigned for the documentation and technical assistance.

The morning activity started with a bench yell competition of different houses and the winner of
the bench yell competition was the house of the Gryffindor. There’s a variety show performed by the CIT
Jive and performances of the organization officer, CIT Talent Guild, Adviser and President of CIT-SC and
Faculty. And a Battle of the Band and Singing Idol competition joined by CIT students from different year.
Guest bands Mars Mango and The Happy Pill gave a warm performances for as they sang their own songs.

As the highlight of the event: Mr. and Ms. CIT 2019 has started, candidates of the
organization showcase their beauty and wit as they walked confidently on stage. The candidates
from other organization also showcase their beauty and wit as they conquer the stage. But, before
the pageant ends only 10 has become the stars of the night. The reigning Ms. CIT Rozel
Macatangay from the organization of Association of Computer Technology Students (ACTS) had
her farewell walk before she pass the crown. At the end MICS still on the top of the pageant as
Rose Ann Salendrez and John Paul Gutierrez received both minor and major awards, and won as
Mr. and Ms. CIT 2019. Both of them gave their best and proudly represent the organization.
