(6) The teacher understands that literacy skills and processes are applicable in all content areas

Artifact: Field Experience Lesson Plan 2

Date of Completion: Fall 2019

Course Completed in: EDUC 230 Field Experience

Rationale Statement:

I am placing the Field Experience lesson plan under standard four to serve as an example of
how my lesson plans integrate other content areas in order to improve student learning in
various subjects. Having students practice multiple skills does not have to be obvious. In this
lesson plan, I had students practice their writing and speaking skills to demonstrate advanced
levels of inquiry and comprehension. The application of this illustrates different methods of
assessment that exercise dexterity in literacy. Alternative forms of literacy are also present for
any modification of assessment tasks.
