Lenses

We all see with different lenses. Being raised in a mexcian family and being half

mexican it lets me have different lenses than other people don't have. I got my lenses

from my family that they are from Mexico. That came to the United States for a better

future for my brothers and I. My parents didn’t want their kids to work for their rest of

their life. They wanted us to get the best education, a good job that pays well. So that

we wouldn’t suffer in the future.

The influence of my lenses is a current event happening in the news. The

president of this country is has been saying a lot of things to all the Mexicans that live in

the United States. He has said that all Mexicans are lazy, rapists, drug dealers,

criminals, and people that steals opportunities from other people. He is discriminating

against the race that helps a lot to this country. They do the jobs that the other race

does not want to do. They are a big community that the president is saying bad things

about us.

There are two possible alternative viewpoints for my lenses. The first one is the

person that supports the president what his been saying about us Mexicans. The

president has put this idea in people's mind. The second is what if he wouldn’t say all

this thing about us. That we steal opportunities, that we are lazy, drug dealers, and

criminals. Would everyone else still see with different lenses about us.

There are no common share of beliefs between the two viewpoints. A viewpoint

is discrinting to a race that is the second largest minority group in the United States. The
other viewpoint is just trying to get a better life. They are always trying their best to go

through the racism of the other people. All the viewpoints are reasonable in their own

ways because everyone has their own reason to believe all of the things being said in

the news. Having more than one lens is better because it gives us different ideas on

certain topics.

In conclusion, the lenses I have were given to me. It’s lets me see the world in a

different perspective from other people. We can see the world with other lenses as well.

But our major lenses is an important one. Having this lens it lets me understand the

other viewpoints of other people with similar lenses. Also knowing other people with

different lenses it can help us understand different lenses that we don’t have.
