HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL SOLIDWORKS SEKs

(“Student Engineering Kits”)

 Uninstall any/all previous version of SOLIDWORKS

 Go to: www.solidworks.com/SEK
 Use SEK-ID = XSEK12 and enter all relevant information into the form
 Choose ‘2017-2018’ for the version of SOLIDWORKS
 You will then be asked to enter the school’s unique SEK Serial Number:
 The SEK Serial Number is: 9020 0067 0870 1296 R7WM 3P6B
(Do NOT use the default number given. This is for a 30 trial of SolidWorks only.)
 Follow all remaining instructions and accept all defaults
 Your VAR Name is DASI
If, for any reason, a problem occurs with this software installation, please send an email with
screen shots of the error to studentsupport@Solidworks.com

Student Edition Features:

 The license is for personal computers only, not labs or school computers.
 The 2017-2018 version will expire July 31, 2019.
 Software does not include Subscription Service.
 Software is not upgradeable.
 Software has a soft-lock feature that limits the installation to one computer.
 Software contains on-screen and printing features that identify the software and related
files as “SolidWorks Student Edition” which makes it unsuitable for professional use.
 Software files created with this version are not able to be read with commercial versions
of SolidWorks software.
 Software packaging uses only the English language.
 Software installation has many foreign-language versions that may be used.
