P7. Illustrate the application of HRM practices in a work-related


context, using specific example.
My job as an HR manager will be to ensure different process recruitment, selection, and
training of new employees keeping in mind merit, experience and qualification.

Job specification and description (accounting manager)


For this job we are looking for an accounting manager with the ability to lead and motivation
staff under his supervision in order to increase work efficiency. His job will be to supervise
accounting department tasks, reporting, tracking records of financial information. Hiring and
motivating accounting staff will be one of the part of his job. He should be a good leader with
high skills and strong understanding of account and management with analytical ability and
honesty should be best of his policies.

Requirements:
 Master’s Degree in accounting and finance
 Experience in Management and accounting
 Good leadership skills
 Good communication skills
 Strong understanding in job principles
 Problems solving skills
 Job advertising skills

Job advertising strategy:


Being an HR manager, I will use some of the effective ways of job advertising strategy in order
to pull candidates towards the company. As excessive use of print and social media, people use
these medians to find jobs such as LINKEDIN, MONSTER.COM, ROZEE.COM and
GLASSDOOR.COM as well. Putting ads on this will pull candidates.

Selection and interview:


Candidates after passing the initial test will be selected on the basis of merit that will include
their qualification, experience related to the required vacancy. After that they will go through
various interviews which will include formal interview, second interview that will be taken by
HR manager and last interview which will be taken only of the final candidates which will
acquire the questions about the job package they want and package we are offering.
Final selection:
Final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of them overall performance in the
selection process. They will be judge fairly and completely on merit

2. Do u have any knowledge related to accounting software
3. What is your expected salary?
4. Why should we hire you?

 It is important to follow all the above-mentioned steps for the best result of finding new
candidates for the empty vacancy. Every particular job has its own requirements
therefore job description and interviews are carried on the basis of the job
requirements. Every candidate and employee that is looking to fill the vacancy has to go
through the mentioned process or a process similar to this.
