Part 1 of the report:

Tabani Group is consisted of 150 employees directly reporting to the

CEO which means managerial ones, working in the head office. Other
than that there will be a lot employees as Tabani Group is dealing in a
lot of businesses as a whole all over the country.
Mr. Hamza Tabani sees himself as a leader as he is into businesses since
last 23 years and have seen a lot of ups and downs in the industry. He
thinks other than religious blessings on him he is a charismatic leader to
everyone who is following and working with him otherwise he would
not be able to manage such a big group. Employees are very happy with
him as a leader. Minimum limit of currently working staff’s tenure is
10+ years and as far as the loyalty is concern maximum it is, is of 35+
years. People do not want to leave the organization and show great
dedication and trust towards the organization.
Mr. Hamza Tabani believes strongly in TEAM WORK. He dedicate the
power to his employees. He said he do not keep any technical power to
him rather he delegates the decision power and authority to the
employees and he just manages from the top. He gets daily updates
from every project, every department so that he stays up-to-date. They
practice conference calls every week in order to stay updated from
other cities as well. Every other team and team members are
thoroughly accountable for the decisions they make. Every decision his
employees make for themselves Mr. Hamza Tabani owns them. He said
even in failures he keeps on standing on the backs of his employees in
order to keep them motivated. He further said he is managing this big
group just because of his employees so in order to get the most out of
them it’s important that we give them decision power and on their
decisions (regardless of success or failure).
Talking about motivation he said, I always work on how to keep my
employees motivated. Being the CEO I am always there to listen to my
employees, they can reach for me anytime they want and to keep
employees motivated being their LISTENER is equally important. He
said I am always the one “high on people” I keep my employees and my
team mates above all and they literally give me positive outcomes for
that.
Being leader he understands needs of the employees and assign them
in the departments they fit for. Also, he expects only how much he
think his employees can take and he never overburdened them.

When we asked him about change, he said he really appreciates

change. If employees show resistance towards change he try everything
possible to convince them in order to adopt that change. Convincing
power along with logics can do wonders, he said. Change is important
and he is all ears for employees who have valid explanations for
resistance. Communication should be both the ways. A good leader is a
good speaker and listener both at the same time.

Asking his views over coaching he said he considers himself as a good

coach too. He gives motivational sessions to people. He said people at
certain level can disagree too and that can be used positively as a
learning thing. Being observant, being a good a coach is always the best
if you are a leader.

Feedbacks are there on a daily basis and Tabani Group of Companies

doesn’t go with survey feedbacks because they believe that’s not
enough. Employee satisfaction is their first priority.

In the end asking what leadership skills future leaders or students like
us should have he said young people should not get disappointed so
easily because that’s the part of life. Adaptability, confidence, honesty
and guts to face challenges, problems and competition is important.
Always look for the solutions rather than crying over failures because
acceptance plays a vital role in leadership.

Part 2 of the report:

Leadership Development Pipeline:
Mr. Hamza Tabani commented on making future leaders through
delegating the power to his employees. He believes employees who
come to your development program, bring a rich amount of
organizational experience and knowledge. As a facilitator and leader,
he values and use that knowledge: Ask for the input of employees, and
give them authority to take decisions. He believes that if for the first
time the decision is wrong and you stand by your followers even if in
the second time the decision is wrong and you stand by them again,
they will never take the wrong decision thrice. He said there can be a
lot of leaders who make people learn through critics but only few can
make them leaders by motivating them in a positive way and through
standing strong by them because everyone has leadership qualities we
just need to get them out of them and polish them. He thinks
delegating power can make the best leaders for future and that is what
he is implementing in his organization. He considers his employees as a
raw diamond which requires polishing and they do it through
DELEGATING POWER AND AUTHORITY to them.
