ENGINEER’S REPORT

a. North-min Auto Dealership Inc. is a private corporation duly organized and

registered with the Security and Exchange Commission and represented by
Francisco L. Rolida as President of the corporation.

It is located at KM-3 Baranggay Baan, Butuan City. The land areas of

the facility is 7,750 sq. meters which has been classified as Commercial
Zone (C-2), by the Office of the City Planning, City of Butuan.

The company compounded has the following capacity, to wit;

a. Car Display and Office
b. Servicing Area
c. Wash Bay Area
d. Warehouse for spare parts, oils and lubricants
e. Tool Room

The quantity of newly and previously purchased vehicles at any given

time are the following:

1. MU-X (SUV)- 2 units

2. Crosswind Sportivo – 1unit
3. D- Max Pick-up truck- 2 units
4. Additional five (5) units of vehicles previously purchased are also
due for washing.

b. The Company has two (2) units Diesel Generator sets, 50 KVA and 150 KVA
rated capacity as standby units during power outages. The two (2) units
gensets are provided by exhaust mufflers to separate chimneys with a height
of 9 meters and 10 meters respectively.

Wastewater in the wash bay and service area is generally coming from the
washing and cleaning of vehicles after delivery. For this reason, during the
washing process, oil is removed from the engine side of the new vehicle
together with accumulated dust during transit.

The wastewater produced goes to the two (2) chamber oil- water separator.
There is an average of six (6) to ten (10) vehicles washed per day with 200 to
400 liters of water used in washing and cleaning.

Every generation of 400 liters of water used, contains about 1.5% by volume of
mud and 0.10% oil contaminant by volume.

Volume of wastewater generated, Q = NxR

Where Q = volume of wastewater, 𝑚3 / day

N= no. of vehicles washed,

R= use of water

Therefore:

Q= 10 vehicles x 400 liters

day vehicle

= 400 liters = 4.20 cum.

day day

Presence of mud soil, Qms = (5 mud soil) x Q

Qoil = (0.10%) x 4200

= 4.2 liters = 0.0042 cum

day day

c. Among the parameters considered in the Wastewater Treatment Facility

(WTF) are flow rate, mass loading conceptual process design and applicable
technology. Our present two (2) Chamber OIL- Water Separator will be
achieving good results in separating oil from wastewater during washing/
cleaning of vehicles.

The OIL- WATER Separator has two (2) Chambers; The First chamber (the primary
settling) has a Capacity of 640 liters and the second chamber (secondary tank)
otherwise known as the effluent tank is the final treatment where the treated water
goes to street sewer.

EMISSION ESTIMATES OF TWO (2) UNITS GENERATOR SETS:

 Fuel Consumption = 4 liters per hour

 Annual Operating hours = 96 hours
 Annual Fuel Consumption = 384 liters per year

General Equation:

Where:

E= emission estimates

A= activity rate, (fuel consumption)

EF= emission factor

ER= overall emission reduction efficiency, %

Emission Factor:
