Situation Action Outcome

To comply with professional ethics,
legislative requirements and being a
moral and just teacher, it is important to
complete the child protection and abuse
prevention and recordkeeping
awareness training. Under professional
learning with the department of
education.
It is important to completed for student
wellbeing, confidentiality and safety.
It also supports teachers to respond to
students in their best interest and by
referring them to supports within the
school or their community.
Also, it is important to mark student
work in a timely manner, given back with
feedback so they can further improve.
Moderating with a colleague is crucial to
making sure marks are accurate.

Child Protection and abuse prevention and
recordkeeping awareness training, under professional
learning with the Department of education was
completed online using a laptop.
My main goal is to make sure I build positive
respectful relationships with students. So, I can be
approachable and listen students if they have any
important issues that could be affecting them and be
able to help them or refer them to someone who can.
It is important to educate student on safety in the
classroom, such as behaving according to the
classroom rules and using tools safely. Specifically,
cyber safety in my Digital technology class, is
important so they are aware of cyber bullying and
privacy issues that can affect their wellbeing.
Moderate with a colleague, making sure student
marks are correct, justifying the mark we have given
the student, checking against the marking key and
what student deserved the highest mark.
Putting marks in for reporting and making sure the
comments are correct and checking with my HOLA.
Child Protection and abuse prevention and
recordkeeping awareness training is very
important to protect our students.
It ensures the safety of students and awareness
of the signs and issues that could be indicators
of child abuse or neglect. To reduce the
likelihood of harm occurring to students and
respond appropriately to and disclosures.
It is important to use a computer safely, to keep
records and student information safe. And that
sensitive information and documentation is kept
in the right place.
A student has disclosed personal issues to me,
and I was able to contact the right people in
student services to help him out.
Student top marks have been identified through
moderation, so the most deserving student can
gain an award. All student marks are correct and
reports are ready to be sent to parents.
