The double crochet cluster is all worked in single stitch. Basically, you will work half of three double crochets and then
finish them together. I will be posting a small photo tutorial soon for reference.
Special Stitch Instructions:
Double Crochet Cluster – Yarn over, pull up a loop in the next stitch, yarn over, pull through the first two loops (2
loops on hook), yarn over, pull up loop in the same stitch, yarn over, pull through the first two loops on hook, (three
loops left on hook), yarn over, pull up another loop in the same stitch, yarn over, pull through first two loops on hook
(4 loops left on hook), yarn over one last time and pull through all loops on the hook.

Skip 2 Sts, Work a Sc into the next St** repeat from **to** a total of 21 times. After the last Sc, fasten off and weave

I am ready with yarn and hook. Unfortunately, I am already confused with Row1. So, I ch4 and sl st
to form a circle and ch3, but where exactly do I make the 5 dc, ch 2 before making the next 5dc into
the circle? Sorry that I am confused already. Thanks

You actually are already on the right path. After creating a circle you ch 3 and then (5dc, ch2,
5dc) into the circle you made. Let me know if this helps. If you are still confused I will work up
a quick chart to help you get started.

I would add additional open stitch rows after row 42. So after row 42 go back and repeat
Row 32, then repeat Row 33 as many times as you would like, then repeat row 34 to
create a solid Double Crochet row before finishing with Row 43. Let me know if this

Hi Lindsey! I am making this shawl and follow your pattern. But i stop at row 31 coz im getting
wrong nos of dc. It says 89 dc but i am only getting 88 dc after the 2 dc in first st. If you would check
in rows 30 it says 2 dc in 1st st, dc in nxt st,( dc in ch sp, dc in cluster, dc in ch sp, dc in nxt st for 21
times), (2 dc, ch 2, 2dc in ch2 spc). I am calculating the 1st half side of the row to get a correct no by
row 31. So when i turn at row 31 it counts 88 dc only till the last row of the half side of row 30. Pls
enlighren me on this. ( 2+84+2 = 88 dc)

Thank you so much for pointing this out. I have corrected it. There is 88dc. I also found
another little error where I left out a Dc and corrected that as well in row 30.

I believe it will. I used one entire skein ( just a little left over) of the Mandala cake. If they are
the same yardage then you should be able to complete it with one cake.

Lovely shawl, I know the color pattern comes out from the yarn, but it still amazes me. Thank you
for sharing, and good to know there a a little left over in the cake, or I would have bought a second
to ease the anxiety of running short! I will check out the other colors of the cakes on line!

I just finished mine! Worked out beautifully. I used Mandala in the color Warlock. I found I needed
to eliminate a couple rows of the tan color to get the final color for the last two rows. I also think
there is a correction needed for the last row. When I followed the written instructions it was not
appearing like your pictures, so I adjusted by adding a chain three after the closer stich per the
following:
Row 43: Ch1, turn, *sc, ch3, sk2st, cluster, CH3, sk2st,* repeat from *to * 21 times, sc in ch2 space,
**ch3, sk2st, cluster, CH3, sk2st, sc** repeat from **to** 21 times. After the last sc, fasten off and
weave in ends.
