Hello ☺

Thank you a lot for the decision to give my pattern a try!

First of all I want to mention that I’m not a native speaker, so please forgive me, if I my English
is a little bit rugged sometimes.
Before we start, some information:

For one shawl you need:

♦ your favorite yarn. I used:

Gradient yarn, 4-ply, about 1000 m
♦A matching crochet hook (in my case: a 3,5 mm hook)
♦ Sewing needle for weaving in ends
Yarn Cake "Spring Peony" from
"LittleFavorites by Rea"

With the named materials the width of the shawl will be about 1,80 m.

You will find the following abbreviations in the pattern:

sc = single crochet
ch (st) = chain (stich)
ch sp = chain space (=The interspace under ch st.)
st = stitch
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch

Other Information:

♦ The pattern is a little modified version of the classic half granny shawl and it ends with a
nice border.

♦ This shawl is crocheted in rows, you have to turn after every row.

♦ We always crochet alternating rows: 1 row with 3-dc-Groups and 1 row with [1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc]-
groups. When you get the instruction to crochet into the next ch sp, you don’t crochet into
the small ch sp in a group, but into the bigger space between 2 groups.
For example: In this picture I marked the ch sp in which you have to crochet in the next row:

♦ If you have any questions or if you want to tell me something else, just write an
E-Mail to Krea_Tina@gmx.de

♦ After the written pattern (page 6) you find the crochet chart.
The crochet chart for the border is on page 9.

So, let’s start!

Crochet chart:

This is the crochet chart for the first 5 rows:

Now repeat that pattern until the shawl is big enough for you.
The rows are alternating: Always one row with 3-dc-groups and one row with [1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc]-
groups.

I ended with a 3-dc-row, but you can also add the border to the other rows.
