The exponential growth of private enterprise and
international work culture has made management
education a basic requirement for many jobs today. While
initially, IIMs popularized it with their record-breaking
placement offers, MBA today has become the top choice for
a master’s degree for all graduates which has resulted in
many MBA colleges. For example, there are 73 MBA
colleges in Bhopal alone and many like the RNTU
(Rabindranath Tagore University) MBA College see good
placements for their students.

 HOW MBA EVOLVED?
Previously a person was expected to pursue masters in their graduate field itself. For
example, a B.A. would pursue an M.A. and a B.Com would pursue M.Com.

According to the faculty at RNTU’s MBA College, it is wrong to expect a 17-18 year old,
to be sure about career choice just after 12th board. Earlier, it was difficult to change it
even if you did not like it. 
Snap to today, a 2-year MBA program imparts a structured knowledge of management
practices, different business functions and practical exposure through internships, case
studies and live projects. Students are then in a better position to decide on a career
path. They are trained to start off as junior managers right away and in turn, industry is
recruiting for managerial positions directly from MBA colleges.
