history, national conflicts; with display of weapons (such as guns and cannons) , service
uniforms, an external display of military vehicles, military music instruments, medals and even
an jet aircraft ejector seat and a parachute on display.

1.ARMED FORCE MUSEUM
INTRODUCTION
A museum is an institution that conserves a collection of artifacts and other objects of artistic
historical, culture, or scientific importance and make them available for public viewing through
exhibits that may be permanent or temporary.
The purpose can also depend on one’s point of view, to a family looking for entertainment on
a Sunday afternoon, a trip to a local history museum or large city art museum could be a fun,
and enlightening way to spend the day.
India is a large country and there are more than 250 local and national museums speeded all
over the country.
Since independence, Indian armed forces had been engaged in total of five major wars with
neighboring countries and have taken part in various peace keeping operations organized by
UN.
In doing so, our armed forces have sacrificed many soldiers.
In order to honor their sacrifice India does not have particular institute or museum and that
too will tell us the story of heroic deeds, strategies used, and military equipment’s used for/of
these wars.
The Indian armed forces are the military forces of the republic of India, it consists of three
professional uniformed services:
1. The Indian army
2. Indian navy
3. Indian air force

Additionally, the Indian armed forces are supported by three paramilitary organisation:

1. Assam rifles
2. Indian coast guard
3. Special frontier force.

Aim
-To spread the journey of glory, courage, sacrifice and patriotism.
-To give more respect to the armed forces and their achievements in national security.
-To create a bond between youth and security forces of trust, courage and national pride.
OBJECTIVES
-A connection between land, sea and air as a representation of all Indian armed services.
-The names of the fallen heroes must be included.
-War history information and education through movies, photographs and weapons which
were used at that time.
-To show the dedication of other supporting branches of the armed forces like DRDO and its
work in national security.
-To increase the interactional Indian youth with Indian armed forces and to bridge the gap
between them.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS

The museum will have an extensive collection related to Indian military history, national

SCOPES AND LIMITATIONS


-Enhancing the achievements of Indian armed forces.
-Youth awareness about the Indian armed forces by which people can know their
responsibility towards the nation.
-To know their principles, ethics and work methodology, show common people where they
stand in society.
