ANDERSON FARIAS

Pianist, arranger, composer and musical educator,


born on January 14, 1988 in the city of Manaus, Amazonas. Bachelor in Piano Scholar by the
University of the State of Amazonas (UEA), postgraduate in methodology of higher education by
the Institute Data of the Amazon (IDAAM).
In his native city, he acted as titular pianist in the municipal orchestra Big Manaus Band
between the years of 2012 to 2013. He has worked with great part of the popular and erudite
music artists, among them; Abner Viana, Adelson Santos, Amanda Aparicio, Amilcar Azevedo,
Bella Queiroz, Candinho & Inês, Célio Cruz, Cinera Nery, Cileno, Davi Assayag, Eduardo
Branco, Elias Moreira, Eduardo Dornellas, Ellen Fernandes, Ellen Mendonça, Suzy Felicity, Gil
Valente , Gonzaga Blantez, Hemilly Lira, Humberto Amorim & All That Jazz, Ítalo Jimenez, Jota
Zaire, Julieta Câmara, Karine Aguiar, Leka Denz, Lívia Mendes, Lucevilson de Souza, Luciano
Brazil, Lyndon Johnson, Márcia Novo, Marcos Paulo, Nícolas Júnior , The Chamber Orchestra
of Amazonas (OCA), Boas Novas Orchestra, Sesi Orchestra, Simone Avila, Solomon Rossy,
Zeca Torres "Torrinho".
He participated in courses with the great names of the popular piano in Brazil like: Fábio
Torres (pianist of the trio current winner of the Grammy Award 2014), André Marques (pianist in
the current group of Hermeto Pascoal), Guinga, Chico Pinheiro etc, such as the Brazilian Music
Course at California Brazil Camp (Cazadero / California), as well as classes in New York with
the great pianists Aaron Goldberg and Vana Gierig. During the period of Em Jam Sessions he
shared the stage with Felipe Lamoglia, Marcelo Coelho, Roberto Sion, and a living legend of
music; David Liebman.
With the singer Karine Aguiar, toured several times in the cruise of the company
Iberostar, cruise that navigated by the waters of the Amazonas river and the as the Anavilhanas.
With the Soundlab trio, Anderson has made many shows in the most popular restaurants in the
city of Manaus, as well as performing several times at the Amazonas Theater, for a super
demanding audience. As an accompanying pianist, she performed alongside the Amazonian
singer Karine Aguiar in several festivals, among them: Uakiti Project - Song Festival of Minas
Gerais (2010), Amazonas Jazz Festival (2011/2012), Song Festival of Itacoatiara Jazz Dub and
Eduardo Santhana / 2012), Nublu Jazz and Sound's of Brazil (New York / USA - 2013), IBVM
Jazz Festival of Boa Vista (2015), release of the album "Organic" at Teatro Amazonas (2016)
'Altro Suono in Modena / Italy (2017).
As a composer, he made his debut in 2016 in the ninth edition of the Canção da Mata
Project at the Amazonas Theater, presenting the authorial songs that unite stylistic aspects of his
erudite formation with a contemporary jazz. Since the end of 2016, he has formed Sound Lab
Trio, alongside musicians Anderson Cerdeira and Marcelo Figueiredo. Trio that presents
regularly in the scene of instrumental music in Manaus and that seeks to mix musical influences
of each member in an interesting sound laboratory.
As an educator, he was substitute teacher of Piano, Keyboard and Musical Theory at the Arts
Center of the University of Amazonas (CAUA). From 2009 to 2011, he was a scholar / popular
piano teacher and co - performer at the. (LAOCS). He has been performing after a selection
process since 2012 as a popular piano instructor, where he has been developing research and
cataloging the practice of piano in popular music. He has also acted as speaker in several
workshops aimed at the theory and practice of popular music, harmony, improvisation and
musical composition. He is currently in the pre - production phase of his first album entitled
"Transcendência" with compositions in the format for trio and solo piano.
