use the predefined formatting patterns. There are two possible ways to utilize this template:

(1) type directly into this template or (2) if you already have a document in with a different

formatting, copy your completed text and paste by using 'match destination formatting',

'merge formatting', or ‘keep text only’ from a drop down list that will appear at the lower left

The reference list / bibliography must be complete and adhere to the citati on format of a

particular reference type (refer to APA 6th edition publication guidelines).

Abstract

The Abstract should consist of no more than 250 words and contained in one paragraph only. It

provides a brief summary of the purpose, participants, method, findings, and conclusions of the

study. The use of quotation, citing references, and beginning a sentence with a number should be

avoided in this section. All numbers to be presented in the Abstract should be expressed as

numerals. Moreover, in the other parts of the paper, any number greater than or equal to 10 is also

expressed as a numeral, except if it begins a sentence, while numbers less than 10 are expressed in

You Can Use This Second Line If It is Lengthy

Remember to start a paragraph with a half-inch indent and no spaces in between

paragraphs. Please also note that APA-style recommends the use of active voice. In sentences that

uses active voice, the subject performs the action stated by the verb. For example, “the participants

completed the task” instead of “the task was completed by the participants” in passive voice.

The Introduction should begin on a new page and does not require a heading, but

instead the title of the paper at the top of the page. Typically, it includes background on the

topic/s, its significance, the hypothesis, and a brief relevant related literature. Paragraphs can

be sorted to different levels depending on the number of topics to be discussed. [this text is

Method [this is formatted as APA Heading]

The Method heading should be centered and boldface. It is continued from the last

paragraph of the Introduction without any spaces in between. The Method provides substantial

information to describe the study (including the design) and how it was conducted . This

section is typically narrated in the past tense. There are three subsections under Method:

participants, measures, and procedures. The subheadings under Method should be aligned left

The participants subsection should state the participants in terms of their total quantity

and basic demographic information (if any). Additionally, it should also contain how they

were selected and categorized and possibly explain why some subjects were not included.

The subsection for measures should specify all the equipment, instruments or

apparatus and other materials used in the research. [this is formatted as APA Paragraph]

This subsection must describe in detail the steps on how the investigation was

conducted. [this is formatted as APA Paragraph]

Results [this is formatted as APA Heading]

The Results heading should be centered and boldface. It is continued from the last

paragraph of the Method without any spaces in between. The results section presents the

summarized outcomes and findings from the accumulated data. This section is typically narrated

in the past tense. It can begin by sharing the type of analysis and the definition of variables used.

Data visualizations such as tables, figures, graphs, charts, drawings, and photographs may

be included to present the findings. Each visual should be labeled appropriately and positioned

aligned left above the table with a corresponding title followed by a numeral. In addition, the next

line should contain a descriptive title that explains the purpose of the data. If there are any further

additional details or sources needed to be presentenced, it can be placed below the table. Please

note that captions should not be placed inside the figures while the legends should be grouped

together and expressed separately. Table legends must be placed above the table while figure

Tables and figures should be placed closest to the paragraphs where it was mentioned. Each

column should also have an appropriate heading and only horizontal table grid lines should be

used throughout the table. The text for the first column should be aligned left and centered for the

For equations, it should be labelled with numbers in parenthesis and right justified. These

should not be hand written symbols and must be composed ideally within the same word processor

Discussion

The Method heading should be centered and boldface. It is continued from the last

paragraph of the Results without any spaces in between. The Discussion section concludes the

paper and focuses on the evaluation and implications of the findings. It typically contains review

of the hypothesis together with the findings, relevant literature, limitations, and recommendations

for future research.

Acknowledgements

This section is optional and should be placed before the list of references. It should contain

any acknowledgements the author would like to make.
