Student A

One autumn, I was in Florida with my family. There was a morning of that holiday I will
never forget. We woke up around 6 a.m. There were heavy rainfall and a violent storm. That
storm is usually named as a hurricane when the wind speed reaches over 74 miles per hour. A
hurricane also follows heavy rainfall. The hurricane causes damages. For instance, most of the
trees were uprooted, roads are blocked because of fallen trees and the roofs of houses blow
off. Luckily, that summer in Florida, my family left the city before the hurricane become
stronger. I was never so scared in my life. But other people were not lucky enough. In history
on October 7th - 16th in 2018, İt caused 74 people deaths and $25.1 billion damages.

friends and we had fun. Suddenly, the building started to shake. We did not realize it at first
but someone told us that the lamp and the furniture were swaying back and forth. It was an
earthquake. We went out and found a safe place. We were scared because the earthquake is a
sudden violent shaking of the ground, typically causing great destruction, as a result of
movements within the earth's crust or volcanic action and it causes destroying of the
buildings. In history, on October 23rd, 2011, the earthquake hits Van, Turkey. It caused over
600 people deaths and ₺5 billion damages.
