Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the level and factors of job satisfaction of the sixty
(60) Ozamiz City hall employees’ calendar year 2018-2019. This study employed the
descriptive-quantitative method of research. Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) of Paul E. Spector
(1994) was used to gather the data. Findings revealed that the employees are ambivalent on their
job. The nature of work and supervision is the factor that will satisfy their job performance.
Based on the findings of the study, it can be concluded that employees become satisfied with
their job when they feel their job as enjoyable, meaningful, like the things they do at work and
feel a sense of pride in doing their job. In addition, the employees also feel satisfied when their
supervisor is fair and competent in doing the job and shows interest in the feelings of their
subordinates. It is recommended that the Ozamiz City Hall Administration could take into
account and examine thoroughly the curriculum vitae of the applicants to have a proper match to
the nature of the job intended.
