2.1 Departments
There are following departments in Metro groups of company;

1. Production Department (Pro)

2. Sales Department (Sales)
3. Finance Department (FIN)
4. Accounts Department (ACC)
5. Marketing Department (MARKETING)

2.1 .1 Production Department:

Production department is a sector of the company that is responsible for manufacturing

products or services ….The production manager is responsible for making sure that raw
materials are provided and made into finished goods….The department will set standards and
targets for each section of the production process….When a business completes this process they
are able to achieve customer satisfaction by producing products….She needs to closely maintain
standards in quality….The workers operate machines such as cutting and moulding to make
metal alloys wheel based on its size

2.1.2 Sales Department

The main function of a sales department of SREE DURGA METALS & ALLOYS is attracting
and retaining customers. Many moving parts are tied to this but the number one objective is to
attract and retain customers.
  In Sree durga metals & alloys sales activities need to been co-ordinate i.e., to meet the
customer demand with appropriate supply.
 Next is to increase the sales volume considering a particular period of time.
 Finally to find appropriate person/agencies to carry out the sales activities
 To help marketing department in meeting the sales volume forecasted by them.
 To give motivation by appropriate means to the sales persons and to give appropriate
training to them in carrying out the sales activities successfully
 They analyze the demands of markets. They study the consumer's psychology, study
market fluctuations, prepare sale budgets, explore new markets and the process begins
again attract and retain customers, etc.

2.1.3 Finance Department

Finance Department in Sree durga metals & alloys is basically works as Pillar of the
organization. The activities expected from a finance department is to cover a wide range from
basic bookkeeping to providing information to assisting managers in making strategic decisions.
Finance department will be responsible for all the day to day transactional accounting for the
business. This will include the tracking of all transactions and the management of any
government reporting. The main function of finance department in metro is also responsible for
management of the organization’s cash flow and ensuring there are enough funds available to
meet the day to day payments. This area also encompasses the credit and collections policies for
the company’s customers, to ensure the organization is paid on time, and that there is a payment
policy for the company’s suppliers.
2.1.4 Accounts Department

Accounts department perform the following 4-Major Functions

Payroll

The Accounts Department in Sree durga metals & alloys calculate the total wages and salaries
earned by every employee every pay period, which are called gross wages or gross earnings,
have to be calculated. Based on detailed private information in personnel files and earnings-to-
date information, the correct amounts of income tax, social security tax, and other deductions
