ASM7 Module 1: Perfect Product
Selection System
At the end of this lesson, you will understand how to effectively use our
product selection system, so that you know exactly what to expect
when you start searching for your own product opportunities. Note: Our
product selection process has evolved over the last four years to reflect
the changes in both Amazon and the market itself, so that you have the
best opportunity to select a highly competitive product.

Take the following steps to begin your product selection process:
1. Use the ASM criteria (you will learn more about this in the next lesson) to
compile a list of 15-20 hot product opportunities.

2. Be patient and methodical while compiling the list—this is the most
time-consuming part of the process, and you may need to repeat it multiple
times.
3. Find two competing products for each of the 15-20 items, in order to prove the
viability of your selection.
4. Evaluate every opportunity on your list, including the competing products, to then
narrow the selection down to your three best product opportunities.
2. Suppliers
Once you have selected three hot product opportunities, it is time to start contacting
suppliers! The upcoming modules will walk you through the following:
● Finding and contacting suppliers for your best 3 product opportunities.
● Using the information you gather from these suppliers to decide on one final
product.
● Ordering samples of the product.
● Evaluating your suppliers based on quality, price, and other factors.
● Choosing your best supplier.
