Happy Friday everyone! Vocabulary Upcoming
We had a magical week in 4-4! We finished Preview Events
our novel study of Amina’s Voice and
December 21-January 5:
learned important lessons about accepting
Winter Break

week were Market Day, Math Day, and until after Monday 1/6:
spending time with the students today and First Day Back
watching them exchange gifts or coupons

This Week’s Focus Reminders

•  Math: Chapter 4: Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions: We HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
spent our time this week reviewing mixed numbers and improper
fractions, and then took a quiz.

•  Reading: Amina’s Voice: We finished our multicultural novel study

on Amina’s Voice and had a book celebration with the entire
grade level!

•  Writing: Writing Task: This week we began learning about

expository writing and getting interested in researching other
countries.

•  Science: Energy: We learned about the different kinds of

energy transfers this week and will be quizzed on it the
Thursday after break!
