•  Math: Chapter 7: This week we finished up our unit on decimals •  Please send in earbuds
and took a test on Thursday! or headphones as we
will have testing soon
•  Reading: Fiction: We continued our unit on Fiction this week,
practiced summarizing, and then learned about finding the theme •  Valentine’s Day Party is
of a story. We read Rough-Faced Girl, The Korean Cinderella, and next week! Bring your
King Midas and the Golden Touch—all FANTASTIC reads! box and valentine’s next
Tuesday and Wednesday!
•  Writing: Expository: This week we worked on our first draft of our

•  Science: Midwest Region: We started the new unit by learning Thursday and Friday next
about Detroit during WWII and how industry changed as a result of week J
