Drill Ship Calculations Question W/ Answers

Please Calculate the total number of wells can be drilled in case of the designed drill ship
Will include the following loads (Water Depth +/- 4200 M):
- 200 Big Bags Of CMT (Each well need 80 Big Bags – Net Volume) & expected to have 40%
Excess in one well. (1 Big Bag Weight = 2200 LB’s).
- 3200 BBL’s Of 12.2 PPG Mud (Each well need 1000 BBL’s – Net Volume) &
Excess in one well.
- Traveling Block With all related equipment = 220,000 LB’s.
- 300 JT’s Of 5” DP’s (19.5 PPF) + 200 JT’s of 3 ½” DP’s (150 is 15.5 PPF + 50 is 13.3 PPF).
- Total Weight of BHA = 75,000 LB’s. A back up BHA is available @ the rig.
- Fresh water + diesel weights = 200 Tons.
- People + Foods + Other Materials = 80 Tons.
- WL Unit + CMT Unit + Mud Lab Total Weights = 250 Tons.
- Expected Over Pull during drilling 17 ½” OH = 60,000 LB’s.
- Expected Over Pull during drilling 12 ¼” OH = 35,000 LB’s.
- Expected Stuck while POOH of 8 ½” OH which will need to be solved 250,000 LB’s.
- All Other Additional Loads On The Drill Ship = 900,000 LB’s.
In case of a drag of 25,000 LB’s, what will be the total load on the drill ship prior start drilling?
