Rules and regulations

Arrive no later than 30 minutes before OSCE


(07.30 or 12.30) to attend briefing of examinees

Neatly dressed

• Wearing shirts (not polo shirts)


• Wearing UGM lab coat with name tags
• Wearing shoes properly
• Jeans (in any colors and models) are prohibited
• Leggings are not allowed
• For female examinees: Skirts are allowed; only below-the-knee skirts

Rules and regulations

All necessary equipment are provided; no need to bring stethoscope

Any kind of notes (checklists, books, etc.) are not allowed to be


brought in examination area

All means of communication and electronic devices are prohibited


during the examination. They must be secured in a locked room
provided

It is strictly forbidden to communicate between examinees during


OSCE. Penalties are given for breaking this rule.
Pay attention to these points
Instructions will be placed on the table inside station

The allocated time includes the required time to read the


instruction
Guideline for examiners will be provided in templates of
items and checklists
Be professional in performing the skills; whether it is standardized
patients encounter or performing with manikin

Aseptic procedure during procedural skills is principal.

Rotation will be explained in Briefing for Examinees.

It is not allowed to leave the station before the allocated time

Questionnaire
•  10’ to fill the questionnaire at the end of OSCE
•  As part of OSCE evaluation
•  Feel free to write any suggestions for OSCE
•  Will not affect your OSCE result in any means
Standard Setting
•  Determining PASS or FAIL in OSCE
•  Will be determined in a meeting attended by Vice Dean of
Academic Affairs, Assessment Committee, Course Director, and
Skills Laboratory Management Team
•  Passing grade for each station will be determined using Borderline
Regression Method
•  PASS for a station is established IF examinee’s score ≥ passing
grade for that station
•  PASS for OSCE could be defined as:
•  PASS for ALL stations OR
•  Compensation for 1 FAIL station; with score in FAIL station ≥ 50%
highest score in that station
