The following is an excerpt from the first draft of the storyboard about the “The Impact of
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program on Culture: A Case Study on the Maranao Tribes
of Iligan City”. The left column suggests the necessary activities needed to prepare for
and conduct the interview and on the right column are the description that will further
elaborate the items on the left column.

Delivering a request letter to the Regional
Director
Receiving the response of the DSWD’s
regional director and going to the DSWD
office in Iligan that is situated in Barangay
Tubod
The researchers will bring necessary
documents regarding the case study and
coordinate with the staff in the DSWD
office.
During and after the weekly meeting of
the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program
(4Ps)
Description
The researcher will ask permission to
conduct the study by writing a request
letter to regional director of the
Department of Social Welfare and
Development (DSWD) situated at
Cagayan de Oro City. The researchers
will wait for the response of the director
and only then will they start gathering
data for the case study.
If the request is granted, the researcher
will proceed in coordinating with the
DSWD in Iligan City to get more
information of the Pantawid Pamilyang
Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in
Barangay Tambacan, Iligan City.
The researcher will ask for the schedule
of the weekly meeting orientations of the
4Ps. Furthermore, the researchers will
also inquire if they could join the staff that
is assigned to conduct the meeting.
The researcher will then interview the
Maranao beneficiaries of the Pantawid
Pamilyang Pilipino Program but before
the interview happens, the researchers
will give informed consent forms to the
selected respondents. If they agree to be
a respondent, the researchers will then
begin asking questions, following the
ethics of conducting an interview. voice
and video-recording, and note-taking will
be done at the same time while
conducting the interview. The researchers
will also take photos and videos of the
place where the study is conducted.
