363 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week.
Come to me…I will give you rest. (Mt 11:28) Jesus is saying come to me, but
he does not say, “I will remove your burden”, but, that “I will help you deal
with it.” “Take my yolk upon you.” A yoke is a device to link two oxen
together to form a team, so Jesus is saying I will be carrying it with you.”
Then adds: “your soul will find rest.” (Fr. Martin Pable, O.F.M.Cap) Come today, Jesus
is waiting to share with you your concerns.

The following are our current vacant hours, please consider filling a spot and
spend time with our Lord. Wednesday 2-3am and Friday 2-3am. Please call Joie if
there is anyone who can help with these two hours.

Fourth Sunday of Advent

Without the angel’s intervention, a confused and hurt Joseph was planning to quietly
divorce Mary. Those people who come into our lives at times of confusion and help us
find our way are truly angels to us, like Joseph, we need to listen to them, frequently
those angels are in our own homes.

Pastor’s Pick of the Week: “Guadalupe: The Miracle and the Message”
The most important event in the evangelization of the New World occurred in December,
1531. Over the course of four days, the Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe,
appeared to an indigenous convert named Juan Diego. As a result of this encounter, and the
image miraculously imprinted on Juan Diego's tilma (cloak), nine million Native Americans
embraced the Catholic faith, and the Americas began its transformation into the Catholic
hemisphere. Our Lady of Guadalupe's message of love had replaced the institutionalized
violence of the Aztec culture and built a bridge between two worlds.
Guadalupe: The Miracle and the Message traces the history of this transformative event
from the 16th century to the present. Featuring interviews with leading theologians, historians,
and experts on the scientific inquiries into the miraculous image, this gripping film explores both
the inexplicable mysteries behind the image, and the continued relevance of the Guadalupe
apparition to the modern world.
Narrated by Jim Caviezel.
