We thank you very much for giving us opportunity to quote price for supply of ASTA Type
Tested 400A Distribution Board. We are pleased to submit our quotation as follows:

The Distribution boards are designed, manufactured and tested to comply w
requirements of BS5486 Part 1, 1986 (BSEN 60439-1: 1994) Form 4.
Construction:

The Distribution board structure comprises of a 2mm gauge folded steel bolted framework
fixed sheet steel dished covers and plates of 1.6mm to form a rigid totally enclosed assembly . The
complete enclosure has a degree of protection to the requirements of BS5420, 1977 (IEC 144) I P31.
Busbars:
The busbars are 4 pole air insulated, mounted in polyester glass fiber moulded supports. The
horizontal busbars are contained within a segregated sheet steel bus chamber at the top or bottom of
the Switchboard. The vertical busbars are contained within a segregated sheet steel compartment
towards the rear of the Distribution board. The busbar system 400A has been through fault tested and
ASTA certified at 35KA for 3 seconds duration. Top Metering section adapted as per BCDL
requirement.
Interconnections:
Interconnections between protective device and the busbar system are carried out in copper
strip.
Earthing:
A copper earth bar, size 180mm2 with terminals is fitted across the width and vertically
within each section. Each gland plate, support protective device and door with electrical
apparatus mounted on it is bonded by means of an earth conductor to the earth bar. A bolted
earth bar link is fitted between each adjacent section.
Paint Finish:
The paint system is a controlled continuous epoxy powder process. The steel work passes through a 4
stage process of chemical spray degreasing, iron phosphating coating, automatic electro-static epoxy
polyester film application and is cured in a high temperature control oven. The depth of paint is
controlled at 40/60 microns. Colour Light Grey Ral 7035.
